Works well. The grain was not as vertical as I would like. Their shipping is super fast.

Adirondack brace material

I bought the brace material for a rosewood cut away guitar I'm building. Excellent material. very near quarter sawn, tight grain, very near 90 degree.Very pleased with the purchase.

Grain Run-Out

By

Verified Buyer

I bought some cedar brace stock for a parlor size guitar I’m building. Frankly, some of the material is unusable due to excessive grain run-out. While it is harder these days to find high quality stock, a 10º run-out creates, in my estimation, too great a risk.

Properly cut tight vertical grain. I have purchased several times and the quality has been consistently excellent.

I bought sitka and Adi. Nice quarter sawn, nice stiffness and clear tap tone. Right size without too much waste.

Decent quality

Although I've seen better brace stock (tighter growth rings), this is pretty good. The grain is uniform and vertical.

Nice looking wood

I have not used this wood for braces yet, but it is exactly what they say it is. It is absolutely quarter sawn spruce. It is very fine grained. It came rough sawn which is fine for me.
