Allen Truss Rod Wrenches

About This Item

Allen ball end for easier access! These heavy-duty wrenches feature a special 1-1/2" long (3.81cm) Allen ball end, permanently set in a sturdy anti-twist steel shank.

Each wrench can also be used at an angle—great for getting into a recessed truss rod access cavity. 12-1/2" (31.75cm) overall length keeps your knuckles safely away from the peghead.

#6210 wrench is bent so it won't bump the tuners on a 6-in-line peghead.

Our veteran guitar technicians developed these high quality steel truss rod wrenches for the repair shop. The length, comfortable rubberized handles, durability, and variety of sizes let you perform truss rod adjustments more efficiently.

These tools are available in our money-saving Truss Rod Wrench Set.

4mm Allen Truss Rod Wrench

By

Verified Buyer

I've purchased a few of these, and this purchase was just as great as the others.

I like the feel of the handles, and the quality is top notch, and it makes short work on performing any truss rod adjustment.

These tools really are a huge step up from using an "L" shaped allen key.

These tools are very highly recommended!

Ball End Broke Off

By

Verified Buyer

I have a couple of these in different sizes. I always take care of my tools and never misuse them which is why I was surprised to notice the ball end of my 1/8" wrench broke clean off. It still works of course but I'm a little disappointed in the durability.

Goodbye to stripped truss rod nuts!!

By

Verified Buyer

After years of using the wrong allen wrenches (stupid me!!), I finally stripped the truss rod nut on my Strat!! Panic!! But after researching about this problem, I found the 1/8" angled wrench. Old nut came out no problem. Messed up the little wooden plug, but hey, I can live with that. Put new nut in and back in business. This tool is definitely a picker's friend!!

The wrench is longer than I thought which actually makes even easier to use.

Wrench is too short

Allen Truss Rod Wrenches, 1/8" bent for tuner clearance on 6-in-line peghead

The quality of the tool is fine, but this wrench ended up not being long enough to reach the the truss rod nut on my 89 Tele American Standard. The wrench section needs to be an inch or two longer.

1/8" Fits my 2005 Highway 1 Strat perfectly!

By

This made adjusting the neck on my 2005 Hwy 1 Strat a breeze. This guitar plays better than it ever has. By being able to make several subtle adjustments, I was able to lower the strings to improve playability. I just stuck it in from the top then made several 1/8 to 1/4 turn adjustments while playing. Once it is right, you are done. I never seem to get this right with just an allen wrench.

Looks good

I bought this after making several truss rod adjustments with a normal L shaped wrench, which worked but was awkward to get enough leverage on. I look forward to being able to feel the real resistance better using this straight shaft, in future adjustments.

Does the job exactly.

Great!

This is one of those tools that you don't necessarily need, but once you've bought it, you're glad you did. Makes it much easier to adjust the truss rod on headstock-adjusting guitars, without having to move the strings aside or risking damage to the edges of the truss rod hole.
