About This Item

A drawer full of tools in the palm of your hand!

  • 36-bit set specifically for guitar hardware
  • Compact no-spill case, only 5" long
  • Only at StewMac!
If there's a set of tools every guitar tinkerer will love and use every day in the shop and on tour, this one has gotta be it! A great gift for shopmates, bandmates and guitar collectors.
SAVE when you buy the Guitar Tech Screwdriver and Guitar Tech Wrench Set together!
This set is a must-have! Be ready for practically any hardware on any guitar, from tuners to bridges, tremolos to pickguards, pickups to tailpieces, and more.

The Guitar Tech Screwdriver Set replaces a whole drawer full of tools. We've included 36 essential bits for fretted instrument hardware, plus an easy-grip handle with extender. The entire set comes in a durable compact spill-proof latching hard case that fits nicely into your toolbox or guitar case (take it along to your next playing gig).

You won't find it at the hardware megamart, or anywhere else but here at StewMac.

Contents:
6 Phillips bits: 000 • 00 • 0 • 1 • 2 • extra 1
11 Allen bits: .050" • 1/16" • 5/64" • 1/8" • 5/32" • 1.5mm • 2.0mm • 2.5mm • 3.0mm • 3.5mm • 4.0mm
11 flat-blade bits: 0.8mm • 1.2mm • 1.5mm • 1.8mm • 2.0mm • 2.5mm • 3.0mm • 3.5mm • 4.0mm • 5.0mm • extra 3.0mm
Capture bit: 5.0mm non-slip flat-blade bit helps protect small screws and finished surfaces. A StewMac exclusive!

"The capture bit in this set is freakin' awesome! How many times have I had to fix a ding because my old driver slipped."
—Mark Dalton, Huss & Dalton Guitar Co
Adapter for 1/4" sockets: use with your socket set to install tuners and jacks
Mini wire brush: remove corrosion from bridge saddles and more
Awl point: mark starter holes for drill bits
Hardened screw starters: #2 • #3 • #4 • #5; pre-thread screw holes in wood

Handle:
The 4-1/2" easy-grip handle has a rotating cap for fingertip control. It's red, so it won't get lost on a crowded benchtop. The interchangeable steel bits snap easily into the magnetic shaft, and a handy 1-3/8" extender gives extra reach when you need it.

Case:
The latching custom hard case is a mere 5" long, and fits conveniently into a guitar case or gig bag pocket—great for backstage setups and emergency repairs on the road. The case holds the bits snug so they won't spill out. Sizes are marked on the bits, and a handy chart in the case lid helps keep everything organized and easy to identify at a glance.

This set has everything I need to work on and with my guitars. It is small, and easy to store as well as having durable, well made tools.

Little

I bought this kit because I've been called upon more and more lately for guitar troubleshooting referrals. I have a small screw driver kit, but it's very limited. I saw this kit and thought, I should invest in one. I was expecting it to be big and bulky. But, it's not. It really is small and will fit in your pocket as another reviewer mentioned. Perfect! I really like it and it's wide range of capabilities. I'm happy with my purchase.

Very pretty package.

Container is very pretty and much tougher than the flat plastic offering.
However, the plastic box was much more usable even though it's catch was crap.
The spanners are pretty much surplus to requirements.
Still go to the old flat box as first choice. Just curse when they go all over the floor.
With a fresh rubber band, it's the plastic box I carry.

much better than a wocket in your pocket.

Small, compact, and FUNCTIONAL. I would take this over just about any swiss army type roadie doo-dad. the only gripe I have is I wish the slots they were stored in in the case were magnitized.

Guitar Tech Tool Set

By
(Customer's Reviews)

Having cobbled together a mish-mash of tools for my gear over the years having this Tool Kit along with the wrenches is proving to be a great purchase. A large collection of well made precision bits, ergonomic handle in a compact case make travel in my guitar bag/case easy. Doing 40 plus dates a year with my band thelongruncolorado and the boys in the band always asking for tools, I am the man now to help out!
I couldn't be happier with the quality of this kit.

Finally, the perfect screwdriver kit. Compact and complete, stays in my pocket on show nights. Very well thought out. My favorite features are:
The captive flat bit is a finish (and reputation) saver...
The screw starting bits are almost worth the price of the set...
The case is very well built, and the padded lid is a very nice detail you'll appreciate the first time you drop in a screw...
I've been playing and repairing guitars for thirty years now, and have finally found the perfect screwdriver set. Great Job Stew Mac!

totally handy on gigs or in the shop

I bought this to have a compact plethora of tools but not take up a lot of real estate in my gig bags. Really cool how it all fits together and I love the pick guard screw starter, that is so genius. A must have for any gigging musicians and if something needs instant repair or taking apart, the tool is here to assist you.

Peter.
