This set is a must-have! Be ready for practically any hardware on any guitar, from tuners to bridges, tremolos to pickguards, pickups to tailpieces, and more.

The Guitar Tech Screwdriver Set replaces a whole drawer full of tools. We've included 36 essential bits for fretted instrument hardware, plus an easy-grip handle with extender. The entire set comes in a durable compact spill-proof latching hard case that fits nicely into your toolbox or guitar case (take it along to your next playing gig).

You won't find it at the hardware megamart, or anywhere else but here at StewMac.

Contents:
6 Phillips bits: 000 • 00 • 0 • 1 • 2 • extra 1
11 Allen bits: .050" • 1/16" • 5/64" • 1/8" • 5/32" • 1.5mm • 2.0mm • 2.5mm • 3.0mm • 3.5mm • 4.0mm
11 flat-blade bits: 0.8mm • 1.2mm • 1.5mm • 1.8mm • 2.0mm • 2.5mm • 3.0mm • 3.5mm • 4.0mm • 5.0mm • extra 3.0mm
Capture bit: 5.0mm non-slip flat-blade bit helps protect small screws and finished surfaces. A StewMac exclusive!

"The capture bit in this set is freakin' awesome! How many times have I had to fix a ding because my old driver slipped."
—Mark Dalton, Huss & Dalton Guitar Co
Adapter for 1/4" sockets: use with your socket set to install tuners and jacks
Mini wire brush: remove corrosion from bridge saddles and more
Awl point: mark starter holes for drill bits
Hardened screw starters: #2 • #3 • #4 • #5; pre-thread screw holes in wood

Handle:
The 4-1/2" easy-grip handle has a rotating cap for fingertip control. It's red, so it won't get lost on a crowded benchtop. The interchangeable steel bits snap easily into the magnetic shaft, and a handy 1-3/8" extender gives extra reach when you need it.

Case:
The latching custom hard case is a mere 5" long, and fits conveniently into a guitar case or gig bag pocket—great for backstage setups and emergency repairs on the road. The case holds the bits snug so they won't spill out. Sizes are marked on the bits, and a handy chart in the case lid helps keep everything organized and easy to identify at a glance.

Now it is always in my bass case!

I needed something to handle on the gig repairs/maintenance. This is perfect.

Being a bass player I also get calls from the rest of the band members as they have mid gig breakdowns. Already used by the drummer twice, two guitar players and even the saxophonist. And a couple car fixes with odd screw heads. Even used the metal brush to fix some corroded battery connections on an old stomp box.

This is a neat set of tools. I especially like that it has tiny hex keys for pesky, tiny bridge screws.

How did I manage before this?

I got this set for the flat wrenches, which I can't believe I got away without all these years! Being able to adjust bridge height with the strings on is an absolute game changer. As for the tool set, I thought it was a great deal, but I debated it for a good half hour. Turns out I used a few tools right away and it was totally worth it! Plus, I mean come-on, I honestly don't believe Stew Mac would put their name on anything they don't or wouldn't use themselves — and look at the amazing work they do. I'm beyond satisfied with these tools, and I highly urge you to go for it! You'll be glad you did.

Great Bits, Awful Handle!

By

The bits are very good for on-the-spot repairs or changes. Nice metal case that holds the bits and handle well. The handle, on the other hand is horrible! I have a computer oriented kit that came with two good quality handles and the provision to use one with the other through a cross hole in the end. If you plan on doing extensive repairs on other's equipment, I would look for a hand driver that is more comfortable (I.e. larger). Keep the nice bits, though!

Awesome little kit

was better quality than i expected! I was kinda expecting those cheapy PC Screwdriver type kits you can get a Fry's...but this seems more durable. The case is aluminum which is cool, and also the tips STAY IN PLACE! i'm use to opening a tool set and everything being a mess. It's nice that everything fits snug.

I haven't had a chance to use all of the items in the set yet, but those I have were very helpful. The set seems to have all the items you would need for most repairs.
