Fret Slotting Table Saw Blade

About This Item

Fast and accurate! Now you can cut fret slots on your table saw or radial arm saw.

Labor saver!
Slot fingerboards quickly, cleanly and precisely, for any scale length, right on your own table saw. Ideal for production work, this is the same model 100-tooth high-topped steel blade we use here at our factory.

The outer edge of the .060" blade is specially hollow-ground to cut .023"-wide slots for our fretwire. This custom shape cuts more smoothly, and eliminates the need for an additional blade stiffener. 5/8"-diameter arbor required.

Blade dimensions

Diameter6"(152.40mm)
Thickness.060"(1.52mm)
Width of cut.023"(0.58mm) on the outer 1/4" (6.35mm) edge

Slot your own fingerboards quickly and precisely with our Fret Scale Templates and this saw blade.

A great tool for the job. I've gone through a couple and always think it's pricey but keep coming back because it works perfectly every time.

I bought this with the idea that I was going to go ahead and make some guitars, finger boards, so I bought it even though I was a little hesitant because the price was not that inexpensive I made a jig up and I can rip through fingerboards and cut them in about 5 minutes with precision.

I find this blade works quite well and the fact it doesn't required additional blade stabilizers is a real plus!

Finally getting around to using this and providing my review of it. I've got to say, I'm not sure if making a perferctly measured out bass fretboard could get any easier than with this blade and the fretboard template. I took the time to make a shooting board as Dan suggests in his "How to" video and I would suggest that to everyone, regardless of the quality of your table saw. It truly makes it fool proof and awesome for a new builder like myself! I would strongly recommend this purchase.

Love the SM fret slotting system for my table saw. Makes slotting fretboards extremely easy and fast. I do lots of exotic hardwoods and I wish this blade lasted longer. I can tell a great difference within 20-30 fingerboards. I make it work and have gotten over 100 with a single blade. You can see it start burning the wood and widening the slots when dulling. Only advice I can give is when doing oily woods... clean the blade after each use. The oil buildup causes slot widening. All of a sudden when you go to fret the neck, the slots are too wide for good barb seating. Still a good system. Expensive though.
