Rubber Clamping Bands

About This Item

These giant rubber bands are simple, form-fitting clamps for gluing bindings and fingerboards.

Narrow bands are favorites for holding bindings in place while the glue dries. Use them cut or uncut. One pack is more than enough to bind a complete acoustic guitar body.
1 pound pack of 15 bands, 1/4" wide x 80" long.

Wide bands are a heavier version we like for gluing a fingerboard to a neck without setting up cumbersome clamps and cauls. Pulling equally from both sides, they help to center the fingerboard on the neck. Wrap them as tightly as you need; these bands are plenty strong. One band is all it takes to glue a fingerboard to the neck.
1 pound pack of 5 bands, 3/4" wide by 84" long.

Colors may vary.

Versitle for clamping odd shapes

I bought my first set of these bands back in (about) 2005. I am still using a few of those. I have used them on several acoustic guitars and on various other projects. These can't be beat for clamping a fret board to the neck. Some of the bands I bought way back, were left in the sunlight too long and broke down. Keep them out of prolonged sun exposure and they will last for years. I have used the narrow bands, but not the wide.

I used these to reglue a fingerboard to a neck that had become delamed. They worked perfectly and were a lot less hassle than using clamps.

These bands are also excellent for gluing fret boards to the neck, wrapped tightly they apply even clamping pressure all the way down the neck and will center the board on the neck as well. I swear by them.

A real painsaver

A fantastic tool to glue wood bindings. Even after the use of tape, when you wrap it aroud the instrument, you can see the glue squeeze out of the channel. Several turns of that tightened rubber band adds a huge amount of pressure on the binding. One set is full enough for a full guitar. i'll never glue any binding without it anymore.

what a great help. I use them all the time now, at first I just used regular bands . now I use these because they pull more consistent then the others. I use them cut and uncut.

Tape would have pulled off some of the finish on this 54' Guild. These rubber bands are the only way to go!

A very good product, but try not to touch the glue (Elmers or DAP yellow glue)- it will eat the rubber
