Great lil chisels

By
(Customer's Reviews)

I've had my set for close to 2 yrs now and use them almost daily! Very handy, but need a lil tweaking to get just right. The angle is off a lil but easily fixed w/ the set of diamond sharpening blocks I also bought from StewMac. Another issue is the handles come loose but a drop of StewMac super glue is all that is needed. They may seems a lil pricey, but they've definitely earned they're keep. I'd be lost w/out them!!

Not as good as expected

Not so great: The chisel itself is not secured to the handle, and the grind angle is too steep for detail work.

When you apply any pressure at all the blade spins in the handles on all 4 chisels I have. The metal used seems very soft when compared to other quality chisels I use. The angle on the chisel if pretty high and requires resetting to be effective.

I was able to use them, but not until they were tuned. The chisels still spin in the handle however.

I have purchased a lot of tools and fixtures from Stew-Mac and these are not of their typical quality.

They are a good product. Not easy to just get chisels like these either. They are small in a good way, sturdy and sharp.

Another winner

I've lost count of the number of ways I use these, now that I have them. Despite their small size, which is their virtue, they are plenty strong, plenty sharp, and plenty easy to keep sharp.

Tight place trimmers

Have not had a need to use these a lot but they are quite light so easy on the muscle power. They are deadly sharp and will do damage (as I learned with a similar tool years ago.) A good addition to your tool box.

As described - brilliant for removing dried glue/lacquer. Super sharp and the dogleg handle makes precise control easy.
