For classical or steel-string pegholes. This swiveling aluminum jig maintains 35mm (1-3/8") hole spacing for string posts or rollers.

Hardened bushings keep the holes straight, perfectly spaced and centered — you can use a hand drill!

Clamp the jig on any peghead from 1/2" to 1" thick. Use the supplied 13/32" (10.32mm) bit for classical machines, or the supplied bushings and letter "G" bit (0.261", 6.63mm) for steel-string tuners.

Great Jig, But How About .236" Resto Tuners?

By Greenridge Guitars from Germantown, MD

Used this for years, and works well. Only issues are interference on longer/wider diamond volute/dart (just trim the plates back a bit) and lack of a bit and drill bushings to use the jig for the 0.236" shafts on some vintage/Resto tuners. Did manage to break one of the pivot pins/axles with a drop to shop floor (concrete), but 3/16" drill rod worked as replacement part and good as new.

I was reluctant to spend so much on this jig but used it for the first time today and got the job done perfectly in 2 minutes! Love this

I rate this jig as one of the best in my shop. It is a joy to use and provides complete accuracy of hole spacing and alignment with the head. I used it recently for my 12 string head to set out the holes for the individual roller tuning machines. I would not be without it.

Works Great.

For some sixteen years I have been using the older model that works with a 10-mm bit, and then enlarging the hole without a jig afterwards. This works perfectly in one step.

Not cheap but simple and easy to use, and accurate. If your making guitars regularly it's a good jig to have.

Well worth it!

There are times when an "expensive" jig is actually a great deal. This is certainly the case in this instance. If you need to fit three on a plate tuners for slotted pegheads you can either carefully layout, setup and use a drill press to get acceptable results or you can simply clamp on this jig and using your hand drill get PERFECT results with no drama.

It makes the task of getting the tuner holes for classical guitar so much easier.
