ColorTone Lemon Oil

About This Item

Restore luster and shine to your fingerboard.

Lemon oil (a light mineral oil) is used to clean and condition fingerboards. Just a little bit about twice a year will prevent unfinished wood from drying out and cracking.

Lemon oil is safe for all woods, frets and inlays. It will penetrate and deepen the rich color of unfinished wood, and will clean dirt and grime from a finished board.

4-ounce bottle.

A quality product that works like a charm. I used it on a couple of 15 year old rosewood fingerboards and they look and feel wonderful. Highly recommended!

bought it for my personal collection...I live in a country that doesn't have many qualified luthiers...so have learnt to be self-reliant. this is a great way to keep my guitars looking and feeling good.

Indespensable

Great product, I'm never without it in my shop. I find that the instructions to "let it set for 15 minutes and then wipe off" applies to better quality guitars. Some rosewood fretboards benefit from leaving it on overnight before wiping it off; particularly on "beginner" guitars where lesser quality fretboards may not possess as much natural oil to begin with, or the instrument may have been rushed out of the factory without attending to nourishing the fretboard. In those cases, the fretboard soaks-up the lemon oil. Any excess will wipe off and/or evaporate within a day of application. - Love this product; wish it came in a larger size.

Never going without this stuff again

Makes your old stuff play and sound like new. You have to get the fret board really clean for it to do its job, but after you do leave a good coat on over night with the string tension on and you will be amazed how much of a difference it really makes.

Great Stuff

I've always been paranoid about what I'm putting on a fingerboard. I'm glad I know I'm using the correct stuff.

I always clean the fingerboard with very fine steel wool, a little naptha, and then this.

Every time the fingerboard feels smooth and looks great!

Simply the best

Recently bought a 1981 Les Paul custom and needed a thorough cleaning and oiling as ebony was starting to look light colored. Scraped all the gunk off the fretboard with a credit card and used cleaner to wipe off as much dirt and grime as possible. Put oil on, let sit for 20 min and then wiped off the excess. Fretboard now is nice and dark just like ebony should be. Very nice product.
