4" Radius Blocks Essential Set, Set of 5

About This Item

Save money with this set! Our 5 most popular sanding blocks for spot-leveling frets and fingerboards. Just add sandpaper. They make great fret-gluing cauls, too!

Create an accurate radius quickly and without guesswork.
We make these hardwood blocks for use with Stikit Abrasives, to radius a fretboard quickly, accurately and without guesswork.

Shaping fingerboards: use 80 through 220-grit
Leveling frets: use 220 through 400-grit

Set includes the 5 most popular fretboard radii used in guitar building and repair:
7.25", 9.5", 10", 12", 16"

When working on compound radius fretboards, simply change blocks as you progress along the neck.

These 4" blocks are used for spot leveling, and can also be used as a radiused clamping caul when gluing frets. The longer 8" blocks are better for consistent, full-fingerboard radius leveling.

Dimensions: 4" (101.60mm) long x 2-3/4" (69.85mm) wide

What's your radius?
Quickly find the curvature of a fingerboard or bridge with a set of radius gauges. Use them frequently to check your work as you smooth or shape a fingerboard or frets: a quick visual check keeps you from accidentally altering the shape—a mistake that's easy to make and hard to fix.

Reradiusing made easy

After leveling frets with a leveling bar and 3M Gold paper , the proper radius block made short work of returning the proper radius to the frets. Worked well with the 3M Gold paper .

Useful and ocnvenient...

These are good quality sanding blocks. You can make your own, of course, but for the price of these it's not really worth the time it would take to get the curve exactly right. My only mild complaint is that the set does not include the 14" radius, which arguably is one of the most commonly used on all sorts of guitars.

Perfectly crafted...

I made this gift to my luthier since he lost a previous set. Wish they had a lacquer finish or some sort of protection to the wood... nothing you couldn't do yourself.

Excellent to hold, won't slip. I bought the 4" because I like to take time with my guitars I don't like to rush them.

Essential tools for sanding fingerboards and leveling frets. Used them on a compound radius fingerbord, and it turned out great.

Stop making it so easy!

Good lord! I'll be out of a job if you keep selling these! Wonderful product. Makes my life/job so much easier I "almost" feel guilty telling my customers how much "hard" work I had to do on their necks/frets.

Works Great

Works great for quick leveling and radiusing of frets. Saves a lot of time and guess work when using straight blocks for the same application. Pictured is an ibanez 12 string in for a fret leveling. -Matt Dreher
