Fret Dressing Stick

The Fret Dressing Stick features interchangeable sanding belts for removing the scratches left by leveling and crowning files.

File a notch in the end of the stick to conform to the crown of the fretwire, and with the finer-grit belts it becomes a great tool for fret polishing.

This 6" x 1/4" (152.40mm x 6.35mm) tool is spring-loaded to keep pressure on the sanding belt. A flip of your thumb rotates the belt for a fresh sanding surface.

The Dressing Stick isn't only for fret work. It's great for leveling drip marks in lacquer finishes or super glue touch-ups, for sanding inlays, for fine scroll work, and more.

Great tool !!!

I love these sanding sticks. You can get all around the fret easily. No more using your fingernail and plain sandpaper to get the edges. A lot more control with these sticks. I have 4 of them. It's a great price too.

It's a sound idea and worked great after I made up my own belts with more flexible paper. The paper that comes with it is way to stiff for small Banjo frets. I used the new cloth paper from S.M.

Just not as good as real fret dressers

Hi again Stewart, my review this time is the stick. These are beautiful and good to work with. When you have only a few frets just to touch up dents or to shape a nut, what a beautiful job it does. Thanks a whole lot.

Fret Dressing Stick

I bought four of these fret dressing sticks and loaded them with 240/320/400/600 grit belts. I then used a marker pen to label each stick clearly - not only does this speed the process when dressing frets, it also means you don't have to change belts. Another great product from Stew Mac!

Perfection

I use the 320, 400, and 600 for my initial fret work, and these sanding sticks are a Godsend. I have the diamond fret file as well, but I prefer the control I have with these little guys.
