Details

Restore luster and shine to your fingerboard.

Lemon oil (a light mineral oil) is used to clean and condition fingerboards. Just a little bit about twice a year will prevent unfinished wood from drying out and cracking.

Lemon oil is safe for all woods, frets and inlays. It will penetrate and deepen the rich color of unfinished wood, and will clean dirt and grime from a finished board.

4-ounce bottle.

Simply the best

Recently bought a 1981 Les Paul custom and needed a thorough cleaning and oiling as ebony was starting to look light colored. Scraped all the gunk off the fretboard with a credit card and used cleaner to wipe off as much dirt and grime as possible. Put oil on, let sit for 20 min and then wiped off the excess. Fretboard now is nice and dark just like ebony should be. Very nice product.

Restore your fretboard to better than new!

By Laurence from Dayton, WA

I have always tried to maintain my instruments in immaculate condition and to that end I've tried many products - some are instrument specific while others are not. This stuff - the ColorTone Lemon Oil is one of those instrument-specific products that goes way beyond everything else available. I now use it on all my fretboards (except my maple strat necks) and the results are remarkable. The board feels supple and smooth - even on the 1966 Silvertone bass I just restored. It was a complete disaster when I got it. The neck had never - I really mean that - NEVER - been cleaned. The finger oil and sweat build-up completely coated the board, and the frets were brown. Now the neck looks, feels and plays like brand new. After a thorough deep cleaning and micro-sanding, I used three applications of this lemon oil over the course of a month, allowing it to soak in deeply each time before buffing it out. (The body restoration was a whole other project!) You owe it to yourself to have this in your cleaning and maintenance kit if you love your toys as much as I do!

This stuff is amazing, but if you don't want your fingerboard to be 10 shades darker, it's wrong for you. Be sure to wear gloves and let it soak for a minute before wiping away excess. Apply twice a year. I will buy more when this is gone.

Added A Finished Look To Bridge and Fingerboard

I applied this to the rosewood fingerboard and carved rosewood bridge to my archtop. I nicely darkened the overall appearance and created a nice looking luster.

Must have for treating unfinished woods

Take the time to use this on your unfinished fretboards. If you clean off the fretboard with a little naphtha and apply this product as directed, your fretboard will look as good as new.

Great for the fretboard..

I've used ColorTone Lemon Oil on two of my guitars so far. Easy to apply and excellent results. I recommend it without qualification.
