Reset loose fret ends without restringing! Simply fit end of this handy tool over the crown of a fret, and tap with a hammer.

The end of this 5"-long brass tool fits over the crown of a fret, and its slim 3/8" contact surface reseats loose fret ends fast — there's no need to unstring the instrument. It's also great for hand-pressing a loose fret end down while your superglue sets. Setters are available for jumbo and medium fretwires.

Works on stainless frets, too!
All of our tools are suitable for use on stainless-steel fretwire, with the exception of our Fret Tang Nippers and Fret Cutters. Modern stainless-steel fretwire is known to be harder than the traditional nickel-silver blends, but our own shop experience indicates the wire does not cause premature wear of files or sandpapers.

Good for quick leveling

It's good for quickly leveling a fret that's high on one Spot onlyand the Strings are on the instrument. IF you don't have the time to take the strings of and do it by file, is will help a lot, too.

Just about every guitar that ends up on my bench has a raised fret or four. This is a great addition to my arsenal for dealing with these situations. You will never regret having this tool available!

Does more harm than good

No matter how gentle you are, this thing will hardly help: either your fret is loose and it will dislodge it from the groove, or it's well stuck n and you will dent the metal. A good dead blow hammer does a better job

I never realized how many of my guitars had high frets until I used the Fret Rocker tool. Using the Fret Setter tool I was quickly able to correct the problem. Two tools you must have.

Always in the past when I had a high fret I had to unstring the banjo to level and seat the fret. Now I can seat a fret without taking the strings off. This is one item I will make sure I am never without again.

I live in a dry climate so as the fretboards dry the frets need the adjusting,eh? Well, this little baby makes it easier to do without getting the strings out of the way - try one they do work.
