Two Cherries Wood Chisels

About This Item

First choice for precision wood trimming. Handmade in Germany from the finest forged steel, Two Cherries chisels keep their edge much longer than other chisels we’ve used.

Pro quality tools made to last for generations. Two Cherries are among the highest quality wood chisels you'll ever own! They're longtime favorites in Dan Erlewine's guitar repair shop, and are endorsed by our friend Link Van Cleave, accomplished woodworker and tool sharpening expert.

Each chisel is heat-treated to Rockwell 61C-grade hardness. They’re fitted with balanced octagonal handles that won’t roll off your workbench.

High quality, worth the money

I've been working on restoring an old guitar, and part of that involves removing and replacing the binding. I tried with every seam knife and razor saw I had, the binding would not budge. I finally decided to try this chisel in the 4mm size, and it made short work of tough binding. Within ten minutes, I was able to peel the binding off both the neck and body without any wood damage.

VERY FINE CHISELS

By

These are truly outstanding chisels. I would have given 5 stars if they were properly sharpened when purchased, but you'll have to spend some time honing them in your shop. (Other brands, like Pfeil, are shipped razor sharp and ready to use.)
Once honed, they perform extremely well, cutting and paring with ease and very little hand pressure. If you haven't used a set of really fine chisels, you owe it to yourself to give these a try, And the five piece set is a good deal for the price.

Best chisel i've had

Great chisel. We've been using these chisels to fit dovetail necks after paint for the last 10 years. We're able to get several years of heavy production use out of each one. you get what you pay for. You'll need to invest in a really good quality diamond sharpening stone set (250 to 1200 grit).
