much needed

I bought these to put on a set of Gotoh guitar tuners I have put on a Washburn F style mandolin. I needed the room between the tuners to be able to tune the mandolin because the original buttons were to big. I had to modifie them to make them fit but they work great. Thanks Bill K.

Nice upgrade for Golden Age Tuners

By

I bought these as an upgrade for the Stew Mac Golden Age F-style mandolin tuner knobs, as I didn't care for the look of the black knobs that came with that set. Even though these knobs were designed for Waverly tuning machines, they fit the Golden Age machines perfectly.

Bought these to replace cracking buttons on my off-brand five year old F-style mando. Call StewMac with questions, decided theses were best & placed order. Arrived in 3 days. Install was very easy & fit was nice & snug - way better then originals. Also ivoried color a perfect match for mando - much better then original plastic pearl. Thank you StewMac!

good replacement knob

I bought two ivory knobs for my mandolin, which I built from a inexpensive kit, (not from stewmac) and which came with a cracked tuner knob. The schaller knob fit perfectly, and with a little super glue, I was "back in business". I would have preferred a white knob, however, to match the others, but ebony was the only other choice.

You saved me again

You saved me again. I broke one of the tuning knobs off of my mandolin. I called and ordered a replacement. The gentleman on the phone was very helpful in suggesting what I needed to fix it. The shipping was super fast and the part you sent was just what I needed to fix my mandolin. Again you saved me with your helpful instruction on the phone, and super fast shipping. I am an extreamly satisfied customer! I play bluegrass gospel with the Southern Harmony Boys and we didn't miss a beat thanks to you!

Just what I needed

Used this to replace a key on a wonderful mando that, unfortunately, has non-stamdard tuning pegs. Had to modify the hole a bit, but it got her playable again.

Mandolin Tuner Knobs

By
(Customer's Reviews)

I have a beautiful Ibanez 529 vintage mandolin and one of its tuner knobs was broken. I purchased one tuner knob replacement but its color didn¦t match the other knobs. The Ibanez has perloid tuner knobs whereas Stewart MacDonald only stocks ivoroid tuners knobs, so my purchase was not useful. It would be great to have these perloid tuner knobs available from Stewart MacDonald in the near future.

Good buttons, easy to attach

A customer brought in an older Newance mandolin(a low-end Japanese laminated instrument) in terrible shape. Had a bad bridge (easily enough fixed) but the tuners were really in bad shape. I thought about doing a wholesale replacement but the tuner holes used nonstandard spacing which ruled that out - the cost of the repair wouldn't support plugging the existing holes, refacing the peghead, redrilling, and mounting new machines. So I got these knobs, cleaned up the grotty green ends of the old tuner shafts, and set to work. I thought about using superglue to attach them but didn't trust the shaft metal - even after removal and wire-brushing, they didn't look that good. So I mixed up a tiny batch of thickened West System epoxy (colored to match the buttons) and used that to mount them. It worked like a charm - they mounted sturdily and solidly and tune well.

Yet another good thing from StewMac.
