Grover Original Rotomatics (102 Series) 3+3 Tuners

About This Item

Popular since the '60s, Rotomatic tuners are now available in 2 gear ratios. For 3-left/3-right pegheads.

Rotomatic® full-size tuning machines feature large removable metal knobs with adjustable tension, cast gear housings and lifetime sealed lubrication. Sets of 6, for 3-left/3-right pegheads.

Mounting screws and threaded hex peghead bushings with washers are included. 10mm (13/32") diameter pegholes required.

For 6-in-line pegheads, see Grover Midsize and Mini tuning machines.

Installation Tips

Mounting screws: Pilot holes required. Installing delicate screws into hard wood requires great care and accuracy. We highly recommend the #1711 Depth-stop Drill Bit (No.50 bit) for the pilot hole before installing these screws. Lubricate the screw threads with cutting lubricant (also wax or a bar of soap) to reduce friction and help them thread properly.

Not knowing which tuners would fit my guitar I call your customer service. The information I received was perfect and friendly. I ordered the recommended tuners on line, received them, installed them with out much effort. Fit was just right and they have made a world of difference in this guitar. Thanks

Replacement Tuners for Epiphone Dot

By

Verified Buyer

These tuners were a nice upgrade to the stock Grovers on my 2005 Epiphone Dot. They are not a direct drop in replacement as the screw holes miss aligning by a millimeter or two. The minor modification to align the holes is worth it though. These have a higher gear ratio and hold tune better than the originals.

Can't go wrong here...

Best machine heads made, IMO. There's a reason most of the big manufacturers use them on their upper-end guitars. Get some and solve your tuning stability problems. I prefer the 18:1 ratio. Smooth as silk.

First time purchasing from StewMac. Good product, good price. I'll be back.

Great tuners

great replacements, not as smooth and accurate as Gotoh 510s I've previously had on other guitars but half the price and feel great nonetheless!

Smooth Tuning

Used Rotomatic tuning machines on an early 2000s Takamine, (middle of the Takamine line; jumbo acoustic-electric cutaway. Guitar is played outside near beach so subject to corrosion in gears). Higher end Takamines may have a better tuning mechanism. I have an older Takamine with very good tuning machines. Rotomatics are smooth tuning. No drilling required.
