Grover 18:1 Sta-Tite (97-18 Series) 3+3 Tuners

About This Item

Grover Sta-Tite™ tuners are a modern version of a vintage design. For 3-left/3-right solid pegheads.

Each tuner features 18:1 gear ratio for fine tuning, a cast baseplate, vintage style scalloped knobs, and nylon worm bearings and tension screw for smooth operation.

Sets of 6 (3-left/3-right). Each set includes mounting screws and knurled press-fit peghead bushings. 11/32" (8.73mm) diameter pegholes required.

Also available for slotted pegheads.

Installation Tips

Bushings: We recommend the #2062 Bushing Reamer (.340" diameter) to cut a clean, accurate counterbore for a professional job. Fit the press-fit tuner bushings correctly so your tuners will work smoothly.

Mounting screws: Pilot holes required. Installing delicate screws into hard wood requires great care and accuracy. We highly recommend the #1711 Depth-stop Drill Bit (No.50 bit) for the pilot hole before installing these screws. Lubricate the screw threads with cutting lubricant (also wax or a bar of soap) to reduce friction and help them thread properly.

Perfect Replacement for Hofner Ignition Series Club Bass Tuners

By

Verified Buyer

I just received my Grover tuners today and the bushing reamer (#2062 .340" diameter). I replaced the stock tuners (the A stringer tuner failed on the stock ones immediately on first tuning). With the recommended bushing reamer on my electric drill, I enlarged the holes on the bass headstock and the new bushings fit right in. The rest of the installation was a snap. I put on new LaBella flat wounds and I was in business. The Grovers are the ideal replacement for this bass! Thanks Stewmac!

Nice upgrade

These tuners were a nice upgrade for my Hofner Ignition Club bass. A little drilling was needed to make to headstock holes bigger but it wasn't difficult to do.

Awsome Tuners For Both Acoustic And Electric Guitars

I use these tuners for both my hollow body and solid body guitars. I widened the key holes and plugged and drilled. They have a old school look with a modern gear ratio. They stay in tune quite well.

NIce tuners

I replaced the factory sealed tuners on my Baden A type with these Grover open tuners. I have had them on the guitar for a week now and so far they have been great. The Guitar is much easier to tune and it stays in tune much better. This has been a nice upgrade over what was on the guitar from the factory and has made the playing experience much better. I was thinking about selling this guitar but that has been put on hold since I am having such an improved experience playing it.

The new Grover Sta-Tites 18:1 tuners on 2 of my Martins.

Two of my Martin guitars have Grover Sta-Tites 18:1 tuners installed.
My 1973 D-35 (customized) I installed those.

The other came when I got a 2014 00015M, they were stock on that model.

I have only good reports on them. They hold the guitars in tune, they have very nice adjustment screws on the rear that can be tightened or loosened.
They look good too. I use the Waverly screws when I install them. I use a 1/16" bit so they are nice and tight.

For the money you can't beat these Tuners! Use them a lot on my rebuilds and also on my CBG builds!
