Golden Age Restoration Guitar Tuners 3+3

Bought these to replace the original wartime tuners on my '45 0-17. To keep the look correct, I eschewed the supplied bushings and the new tuners fit perfectly, shaft and screw holes. I just replaced the old Grovers on my 000-18 with Waverley's and these, while adequate and better than the originals, are not in the same league. But, they were the only tuners I could find that were plug-in-play as far as matching the look of the old ones and the fit. To be fair, they were also about one third the price of the Waverly's. A welcome choice, all in all.

Just right for my old Gibson

These look great on my '47 Gibson SJ. Very like the originals but better made. The supplied bushings don't fit, so I need to look around for some that fit.

Golden Age open gear tuners

Exactly what I needed to dress up a new-ish Martin dreadnaught and give it a nicer vibe.
I had to ream the guitars post holes ever so slightly but otherwise the tuners were a great fit and operate very well.
Happy customer!

Golden Age Tuners

These are the stock tuners on my Martin 00L-17, no complaints and they look classy. Some people have mentioned the small size of the tuner buttons but their size never bothered me. Like them so much I bought them as an upgrade tuner for one of my other acoustic guitars.

Excellent Fit, Tuner Buttons Somewhat Small

By

A couple of the original tuners on my '58 Hofner Senator were bent so I found these as a drop-in replacement. The dimensions of the Golden Age tuners were almost a perfect match including the 6mm diameter of the tuner shaft. That meant no unnecessary drilling or reaming of a prized old jazz guitar. One of the mounting screw holes lined up perfectly, and the other hole required filling in one of the original holes and drilling a tiny guide hole for the new mounting screw. The tuner itself feels a little tight and not as smooth turning compared to the German original and the white plastic tuner buttons are somewhat small and cheap looking. All in all it's a worthwhile investment and I'm happy that the work I did is reversible if I ever want to remount the original tuners.

I bought these golden age keys foe my old martin guitar that I had since
1948 when I bought it from a pawn shop for $65.00 dollars. These new
keys fit & look great and matches the old age look of my guitar. Very happy

Great tuners

Very nice vintage replacements at a great price. Removed the cranky, binding tuners on a '43 and '45 Martin, and installed these. I can put my Vice Grips away now! Smooth and they look right!

Tip Top

Thanks for your tip top service and quick mail-out of my requested item. The tuners are working well and were a good fit to the old footprint on the peg head. It's funny how much more weight the old ones have though, built like tanks, but the new ones are functioning a o k.and hopeful to run for many years to come.

Have ball and thank you,

Craig
