Economy 3-on-Plate Tuners

About This Item

For solid or slotted peghead steel-string guitars. These inexpensive open-gear tuners will make that yardsale special playable again!

They're versatile: the 1/4" (6.35mm)-diameter string posts have double holes, so you can install these tuners on solid or slotted pegheads. Nickel-plated with white plastic knobs.

1-3/8" (34.93mm) string post spacing, 14:1 gear ratio. Complete set of 3-left, 3-right. Mounting screws included.

Installation Tips

Mounting screws: Pilot holes required. Installing delicate screws into hard wood requires great care and accuracy. We highly recommend the #1711 Depth-stop Drill Bit (No.50 bit) for the pilot hole before installing these screws. Lubricate the screw threads with cutting lubricant (also wax or a bar of soap) to reduce friction and help them thread properly.

Probably better quality than the originals.

I bought these to replace the tuners on my 1960 Silvertone 608 acoustic. They hold the tuning well and are probably better quality than the originals. The string posts fit the peghead perfectly. Installation required drilling new mounting holes. As a note, the white plastic knobs are somewhat larger than the originals but still look fine.

I bought it for my Greith Jim Dandy acoustic and I glad it's suite this kind of non-classic metal strings guitar. Fully recommend! Thanks!

Simple fix for an old acoustic guitar.

I bought these to replace the original tuners on an old Yamaha FG-325 that were just plain worn out. They seem to be about the same build quality, and not bad for the price. I bought much better ones for a guitar I just built, but old Yamaha owes me nothing. I took away one star because the screw holes were slightly off, and I expected it to be more accurate.
