Economy 3-on-Plate Tuners

About This Item

For solid or slotted peghead steel-string guitars. These inexpensive open-gear tuners will make that yardsale special playable again!

They're versatile: the 1/4" (6.35mm)-diameter string posts have double holes, so you can install these tuners on solid or slotted pegheads. Nickel-plated with white plastic knobs.

1-3/8" (34.93mm) string post spacing, 14:1 gear ratio. Complete set of 3-left, 3-right. Mounting screws included.

Installation Tips

Mounting screws: Pilot holes required. Installing delicate screws into hard wood requires great care and accuracy. We highly recommend the #1711 Depth-stop Drill Bit (No.50 bit) for the pilot hole before installing these screws. Lubricate the screw threads with cutting lubricant (also wax or a bar of soap) to reduce friction and help them thread properly.

These tuners worked perfectly and installed in minutes. You just can't beat them for the price.

Great tuners. Easy to install. They turn smoothly as well. I put them on an untenable guitar I got at a rummage sale & brought it back to life.
Pleased with the price & quality. I will shop Stew Mac again!

Great for a WW1 era parlor guitar

Recently aquired a parlor guitar that dates back to WW1. Needed to replace the tuners on it because the original ones were shot. These were a great replacement of the original tuners & they look great. This is the second time that Stewmac has had replacement parts for a vintage guitar. Thank you.

Perfect for my needs

I needed to repair the tuning screws on two guitars at a summer camp. The budget was key. These went in smoothly and work perfectly. They were exactly what I needed.

Probably better quality than the originals.

I bought these to replace the tuners on my 1960 Silvertone 608 acoustic. They hold the tuning well and are probably better quality than the originals. The string posts fit the peghead perfectly. Installation required drilling new mounting holes. As a note, the white plastic knobs are somewhat larger than the originals but still look fine.

Love it!

I bought it for my Greith Jim Dandy acoustic and I glad it's suite this kind of non-classic metal strings guitar. Fully recommend! Thanks!

Simple fix for an old acoustic guitar.

I bought these to replace the original tuners on an old Yamaha FG-325 that were just plain worn out. They seem to be about the same build quality, and not bad for the price. I bought much better ones for a guitar I just built, but old Yamaha owes me nothing. I took away one star because the screw holes were slightly off, and I expected it to be more accurate.

Quick and painless!

Ordered some tuning pegs to restore my late Mothers 1950's era Stella that I had inherited. This was the first guitar that I learned to play and it was found on the top shelf of a closet under no less than an eighth inch of dust! I ordered the pegs to replace the originals which had some damage and missing pieces and they arrived here in just a few days. They were a perfect fit (detailed dimensions in the catalogue made that very easy) and with a good cleaning, new strings and some TLC it lives again to ring out and sing! Thanks!

Did the Trick!

I acquired an old Magnatone mid-50's lap steel in need of repair. These machines fit right in and now it's back in action. The measurement diagram on the item page was very helpful, too.

Save your bushings AND your screws

By
(Customer's Reviews)

No bushings and the screws are defective. I had 2 break off in the head stock when affixing the plate. There's no easy way to get them out either. This is a big disappointment. What should have been an easy, clean upgrade turned into a hack job.
