Tuner fish sandwich

These tuners are a good example of compromise, they are attractive, small enough to turn easily with big fingers, and easily install. The price is fair and the tuners work well, they also install easily and match up perfectly with my vintage Charvels. Excellent choice.

Love the Grovers

I really love the Grovers. Smooth action tuning up and down, and they really hold the pitch. I also love the 18:1 ratio. To me, just right for fine tuning.

Work great

Installed these on a $100 guitar that wouldn't stay in tune and I now have a working Nashville tuned acoustic. The included bushing didn't fit the guitar, but I was able to buy some that did from this website.

Is their really anything else that can be said about the quality & tuning stabilty of a good old fashioned Grover Rotomatic?

These are the best, short of Gibson, maybe. I put these on all the guitars I build, or modify.

Best upgrade you can do for ANY guitar. I actually put a set of these on a piece of junk guitar, and what do you know? It actually stays in tune now. I put these on a brand new Strat knock off and it too stays in tune. Best bang for your buck. I also noticed that Gibson uses them on their very top of the line guitars. Must be something there if they put them on their guitars.

Great Upgrade Tuning Machines

I used these to replace the tuners on my SX Furrian (Telecaster copy). The stock tuners were okay, but had some play and required more fussing to get the tuning right than should be. These Grovers are everything they should be; stable, smooth, fine tuning and very accurate. There are cheaper copies out there, but they aren't the quality of these.

Good Upgrade

By

Purchased these to replace the cheaper set on a G&L Legacy ASAT that wouldn't hold tune well. Much better at staying in tune now but you have to be really careful that you don't break the tiny screws that help hold the tuners in position. Drill correct size holes, grease them and take things slowly! I broke the head off one and it is a pain to fix.

I insist on Grover for all the guitars I repair or build. They're silky smooth, the quality is fabulous, and the price is very reasonable.
