Quality tuners for the budget minded

(Customer's Reviews)

These are very smooth and the ratio is a most welcome upgrade over the the stock tuners on my early '90s P-Bass Plus which were VERY heavy (the reason for replacement). I can't justify spending a lot on tuners for my own instruments and I am impressed with the quality of these for the price.
I will definitely recommend these to my customers who are on a budget.

Great quality - made them work on a Gibson Grabber

(Customer's Reviews)

I was given an old Gibson Grabber that had one tuner bushing missing. I couldn't find a bushing so I decided to replace all the tuners. I knew that these wouldn't fit without making some modifications but the price was right and I was confident I could make them work. I had to enlarge the peg hole, fill the old screw holes with epoxy and mount them slightly canted because the A & D tuners are very close together. They look and work great. These are really high quality, very solid machines, much better than the original Gibson/Schaller units. I believe the Schaller replacements that cost twice as much would mount without any mods but their stamped base plate doesn't compare to the die cast base plate of theses. One word of caution, make sure you drill your pilot holes for the screws large enough and deep enough. The screw heads are pretty soft. I almost ruined one.

Good quality bass tuners

(Customer's Reviews)

For the price these appear really decent quality. Good chrome plating and there is no slack in the gearing whatsoever plus tension is adjustable which is a bonus. They fitted my Epiphone EB0 with minimal problem. The hole diameter was spot on and I left the original bushes in which were really tight and match these tuners.
They have tuned up easily and are holding tune with no slippage. Let's hope they stay like this long term. That depends on the quality of the gears and only time will tell on that but there are reports on here of them being just as good after a reasonable time so I'm optimistic. The backing plates are larger than the Epiphone originals and the screws don't quite line up but there's plenty of room on the head for them and it's easy enough to put new screw holes in. The new tuners cover the original holes so they look great. A good buy even with postage to UK and customs didn't bother trying to charge me import duty or tax which was a bonus.
