Waverly's distinctive machined brass "2-Band" offset gear case and grained ivoroid knob will bring a handsome vintage touch to your banjo.

The best of vintage design and modern craftsmanship.
Smoother than the originals, thanks to 4:1 planetary gears, sealed lubrication, low-friction bushings, internal tension spring, leather knob washer and adjustable knob tension.

The brass string post has the original taper for proper string angle over the nut. The threaded hex bushing has a tapered washer to help protect the peghead finish.

For 7/16" to 3/4" (11.11mm x 19.05mm) peghead thickness. 3/8"-dia. pegholes required.

"Waverlys are smooth, accurate, and dependable."
—Sammy Shelor, The Lonesome River Band

"Very efficient and smooth banjo pegs. I highly recommend them."

Perfect for Vintage Appearance and Modern Performance

By Kevin Barnsdale from Florida

The original tuners on '89 Gibson RB3 were getting sloppy. They were the old Schaller pancakes. I replaced them with the Waverly units and am highly pleased. The ivoroid buttons are more correct in appearance. The tuners are smooth and stable.

Waverly makes the overall best line of replacement tuning pegs for replacement or reproduction 5-string necks or modern vintage banjos.

Wave on Waverly

I picked up a full set of Waverly banjo pegs for my son's birthday. He has a very nice five-string but the pegs, in my opinion, were not up to the quality of the instrument. I've known a handful of luthiers over the years and I've never heard one say a negative thing about Waverly tuners - for any instrument. They are beautifully engineered (made in the USA) and operate with ultra-smooth precision. And they have a great look as well. An American made product that is definitely worth every penny. Wave on Waverly!

Very nice tuners

The Waverly tuning pegs are very smooth, feel very solid, and have a nice nickel finish. I would definitely use them on another build.

Form and function perfect

These tuners are a treat for the eye, and they work beautifully. They have the best combination of historic appearance and modern function. I have put them on several different banjos, and on a 1931 OM-28 I recently restored.

Top notch tuning machines! I replaced the cheapo tuners on my Harp Guitar and it now stays in tune for days rather than minutes!

I put Waverly banjo tuners in my 1924 Gibson Mastertone and my 1933 Bacon and Day tenor.. They are the best. If you want to play in tune get these tuning pegs..

I bought these along with the Waverly 5th string peg and they are solid, hold tuning perfectly and look great on the instrument. They are smooth to operate and just feel well-built. Awesome tuners!

Modern Tuning for Vintage Tenor

Installed on 1920's Slingerland tenor banjo, replacing the old 2:1, and tuning is now a joy! They look like they belong on this old jo. Money well spent.
