This finished off my last guitar very well. I trimmed up the end near the nut, and drilled holes on the otuside edges. Looks great!

They do the job, just wish there was more variety and that they included screws.

A little crude for Gibson but worth the price

By Marcio Costa from Brasil

The part measures right, but is a little bit rough, it requires finishing (light sanding) to look perfect. The edges are sharp, while Gibson's cover is all rounded and smooth. But for the price, this cap is excellent and has the same glossy black surface as the original. You can easily work this item into a classic looking one.

Purchased this and another style for comparison. This one (#0614) didn't compliment my design but is still a quality piece.

Truss Rod Cover

It's a truss rod cover, and as such, works extremely well, after I cut off the Gibson style lower mounting hole. It did have a new shine about it, but that went with application off 0000 steel wool. Adds to the reliced headstock on a Precision Guitar Kits neck/body.

I'm making an Explorer from scratch and found the #0614 plate to be just what I needed. Good quality part
