Strap Stoppers - 4 Pack

About This Item

The simplest, easiest strap lock. Nothing to install.
These stretchy rubber discs keep any strap from slipping off. They're like the cap gaskets found on Grolsch beer bottles, but ideally sized for strap buttons.

Put your strap on, then add a Stopper over each button. Your strap stays put!

"I prefer to keep my guitars original, even changing the strap button bugs me. Strap Stoppers are a reliable way to secure the guitar, keep everything original, and not scratch the finish in the process."
—Erick Coleman, guitar repairman and StewMac tech advisor

Available in black or Grolsch-style red.
Outer diameter: 1" (25.4mm)
Inner diameter: 0.300" (7.62mm)
Thickness: 0.090" (2.29mm)

Package of 4 Strap Stoppers for securing 2 guitars.

too flimsy - gotta glue them together to get solid performance.

I've owned similar before (manufactured by a major brand), and I'm sorry to say that these from StuMac are far thinner and much more flimsy than the brand-name ones I've owned previously. The StuMac version should easily have been made double the thickness to keep them from folding over and looking like I have a funnel attached to my end-pin, let alone potentially failing at their task... No, I certainly don't expect these to "lock" the strap by any means, but these simply should be thicker and more rigid. I'm not going to give up though... my next step is to use rubber cement and glue several layers of these together to provide the desired rigidness that I am comparing them to... so go ahead and try them yourself but I do wish they were thicker. Cheers!

No slip

These do exactly what they say. Have a guitar strap that I like but was too lazy to stitch the strap button hole as it had worn. Was looking at strap lock options and saw these for much less.

Simply great!

I decided to try the Strap Stoppers as a simple alternative to screw-on straplocking hardware and think they're perfectly adequate for the job. They slip on easily, yet firmly, so I'm confident the strap won't slip off accidentally. Great product from StewMac, as usual!

The strap stoppers worked well for strap buttons. In my opinion I would not recommend them for factory installed end pins.

Simple but very effective. I have an ESP ECLIPSE and did not want to alter it in any way. These strap stoppers did the trick. Don't hesitate to try them out. You will be glad you did

The Perfect Answer

I have a new Guild D 50. On all of my guitars I need and use Strap Locks. I truly didn't want to even loosen or change a screw on this fine guitar. As usual, I telephoned StewMac for advice. Again, as usual, the staff on the telephone were gentle and professional. He let me explain the situation and expertly recommended these Strap Stoppers. They are perfect as everything StewMac recommends. To me, they are the best company that I've ever dealt with. I have purchased so many things from them and I couldn't be happier.

Strap can't fall off once these are easily installed, and they will stretch over over size strap buttons, inexpensive, Kewl.
