Pickguard Screws for Fender

About This Item

Phillips ovalhead screws to fit countersunk pickguards and cover plates. These are 1/2" length, the standard for Fender (vs. the 3/8" standard used by Gibson®).

A better match on vintage guitars: the Relic Nickel plating has an aged look, perfect for repairing old guitars, when shiny hardware looks out of place.

Sold individually.

These screws are very well designed, they have helical cuts that allow them to thread into wood. The black coating on the screws appear to be very durable.

Black is Back

Using the black screws (for a Fender Precision Bass) with my Stew-Mac black (BWB pick-guard) and the black domed control knobs transformed the look of my bass. My P-Bass looks "stealthy" now....what a difference.

Fender pickguard screws

I bought these to replace some corroded pickguard screws for one of my Strats. The heads were undersize and I did not like how they fit. I would not recommend them at all. I went to Ace Hardware and found some that fit just fine.

NICE BUT....

I bought a bunch of these because I was upgrading a couple of Squire guitars. One a Vintage Modified Strat and the other a Vintage Modifies 70's P-Bass. Anyway I was blacking the two out and needed to replace the silver pickguard screws with black ones. These are a bit smaller than the screws on a Squire. (What else is new, everything on a Squire has to be a different size than any other guitar in the world!) I mean they will hold but if you torque them at all they will strip so be gentle. Otherwise these look nice and look great on both guitars.

A technological marvel...custom grown, precision milled, and lovingly packaged.

These humble screws are clearly the product of 2250 years of engineering and materials design and refinement going back to Archimedes. Based upon the ancient idea of the inclined plane, these go right into the body of your guitar and hold the scratchplate in place without complaining year after year after year.

:-)

(I mean, they're screws....they work.)
