Good for what it's worth

They are screws. They perform every function required to be called screws. They come in the three primary "guitar hardware finishes". But they are still pretty pricey for screws in my opinion.

Good screws

Not much I can say about screws. They are useful, all having threads and a Phillips head slot in the head.

Bit right into the holes I drilled for them. Had to remove them a few times and never showed any scuffing. Very nice.

What you need here is a true, clean, accurate high grade steel screw. That's what you get. In my experience these are as good or better than anything that leaves Corona. Don't hesitate when restoring that old '68 with screws missing or heads stripped. With a little 'relicing' you'll have a screw that can't be told from the original.

As Ive mentioned in other screw and hardware reviews, instruments use a special breed of screws that you cant get at a hardware store. They are specific to instruments and if you use a hardware store screw it may work but it wont look right. These screws do just what they are supposed to. Buy in bulk for sure. Every time I order from StewMac I try to add a 100 each of one or two different types of screws. Put them in little jars in your shop. Not having the right screw to finish a job can be really annoying. Its good to have the right screw for the job. And you wont find these at the hardware store.
