About This Item

Do your guitar knobs move too easily?
The Hugga® offers just the right resistance, making the pot harder to turn and keeping your settings where you like them. Works great on those pesky Strat® knobs you keep bumping into.

Takes just seconds to install: Remove your guitar knob, press a Hugga in the bottom, and reinstall the knob on your pot. It's that easy! The more you push your knob down, the harder it is to smoothly turn.

These 3/4" diameter compressible rubber washers fit 1/4" and 6mm pot shafts, solid or split. Adhesive-backed on one side, they can be cut down to fit smaller knobs.

Huggas work!

I purchased the Huggas for my Paul reed Smith McCarty guitar. They were designed for a Strat and that's why they come in a three pack. They will work on any volume/Tone knob however. I find guitars that have knobs forward of the bridge tend to get moved by my playing. Usuall turned down! The Huggas add enough friction to the knob to cure that.

Huggas work as advertised - just make sure volume swells aren't important to your playing style.

These work exactly as advertised, you might have to adjust the knob height or work it back and forth for a period of time to get situated, but it essentially eliminates the knob floating away from your desired setting as you play. And they are cheap. It does make smooth volume swells very difficult, so if you are trying to play Van Halen's "Cathedral" you probably will need a spare guitar for that...

Does exactly as advertised.

When I used a small Jazz lll pick I could avoid the constant bumping of the Strat volume, but later I returned to a flat pick because I play better rhythm work with it. But I was back to doing the bump. To make matters worse, the replacement pot has ultra low torque. I pressed the Hugga down tight, and at first it was too tight, but rather than lift up on the knob, I just let it compressed for a couple of days. Next I played it, it was perfect: tight enough to resist little bumps, loose enough to adjust easily with two fingers. I never did swells so that was never an issue. I don't need them on the tone controls so I'm saving the other two for future strats or in case this one eventually needs to be replaced. Simple solutions are the best. So are inexpensive ones.
