Great Pins

By Dustin D from Long Beach, CA
(Customer's Reviews) Friday, November 02, 2012

These were an excellent upgrade to my Martin HD-28. I needed to widen the holes a little to make them fit as others have said, but the outcome was great. The 6 I received were all even, smooth, and perfectly made. What others don't know on here is that their isn't a perfect standardized system to bridge pins (even from the best guitar builders) some degree of sizing is necessary no matter what.

Beautiful!

These bone pins are beautifully polished and they fit well into a Martin bridge with just a very slight reaming necessary. Great way to give an extra touch of class!

Bone 4 Tone

These pins are perfect I don't believe there is any better. One pin was bright white and the others more marbled;Stew-Mac replaced it no questions and I had it in 2 days.Killer sustain and clarity;much better than stock Gibson plastic.Thank you Stew-Mac I give you "Gold".

The right choice for a guitar that needs a brighter, precise tone.

Made my guitar sound too tinny for my taste but gave my friends guitar much better tone over plastic. Stuck out from my Martin guitar way too far before some minor sanding to each one. And polished from end to end, these pins look like gems, although they each have an slightly different color. Sounded best with finger picking, for a more mellow tone with same great sustain as bone, try ebony.

These pins really look nice on my Martin HD-28 Custom and certainly brought out the barking tone I was after.

Didn't fit

By Konstantin from Moscow, Russia
(Customer's Reviews) Thursday, September 08, 2011

Tried to install them (pins with black dot) on every guitar i have - taylors GC4 and 314 and Seagull S6 original. These pins just doesn't fit them and installed they stick out of the bridge compared to original pins. You have to modify your guitar's bridge, which is not acceptable for me. Big disappointment.

These pins are precision machined, and they just have that feel of quality. Good color match in the three sets I've bought so far. I like 'em....!!
