Fits as a replacement for Taylor molded guitar case

By Mark van Stolk from Germantown, tn
(Customer's Reviews) Thursday, January 03, 2013

The handle on my Taylor molded guitar case broke and Taylor suggested I get a new case. I found the handle at StewMac.com and it looked about the same. It arrived, but the mounting hardware required a flat surface, the case was at an angle. I just removed the pins and attached the plastic part to the existing hardware and it was a perfect fit - much better then a new case!

Fix those old Case Handles

OK..I know you like the look of rope or extension cord handles on your old cases. Now for the rest of us that want to use our vintage cases properly, Stew Mac sells these great replacements. I have used them on vintage as well as newer cases. Easy to install with rivets, they look like they belong on your case. I have fixed lots of cases with these. They work great. Lawman-MIke

Not the best looking handle I have seen, but it does the job.

Replacement for Fender bass case

By Bob B from Dearborn Heights Michigan
(Customer's Reviews) Friday, December 02, 2011

It's almost an exact replacement for Fender's molded cases. The biggest difficulty will be removing what's left of the old handle without destroying the case. I used screws and nuts to attach the new one: Nickel plated are preferred. A handle is a handle. It's up to you to make it look good.

Great Handle, but...

The handle is an exact replacement for my broken one, but Stewmac.com doesn't provide the real replacement rivets to make a Professional looking repair. What am I to do now? Pop rivets are not the right way, and I wouldn't want to see them on my case. Does anybody know where to find the right rivets for this case handle?

I am no DIY expert but this handle easily fixed a guitar case for a Fender Hendrix Strat restoring it to as new it was the exact replacement for the original that I could not get in England. After buying a Pop Riviter it was an easy job to fix. Highly recomended
