These are the best spider bridges made I think. The only ones I'll use and I get mine from Stew-Mac.

Not the best

I went with the Beard version of a #14 Spider cone thinking that the additional quality would be worth the money. I'm not sure that it was. The quality of the casting was much lower than I had expected. In fact there were several places where the casting showed very poor quality and there were inclusions of what looked like aluminum "scum" from the melting pot. This was a repair on a timeline or I would have returned it for another one. The overall bridge was decent and did level out fairly easily but there were at least 2 flaws in the casting that could be a problem in years down the road. I'll think twice before spending this much on a mediocre spider bridge again.

The quality of the spider was far better than the original on my dobro hound dog. The only question I have is why was the hole not drilled to fit the screw, a small thing but it made it harder to install. This spider took very little to level and fit.
