Lovely, lovely bow

I am not an accomplished violinist, but I love the bow. My first reaction upon seeing it was--how beautiful!! It has a lovely feel and seems to make much better music than my fiberglass bow. I love playing with it!! Thank you, KH

Well done

The order came quicker than I expected, and was well packaged to prevent damage. The quality of the bows (I bought two) is good. The hair took the resin well, and the sound is good. Well, done, StewMac.

Impressive bargain

I am an older-adult somewhat intermediate violin player/student and have gotten back into playing after several years, and needed a bow after my entry-level Pernambuco bow lost most of its hair (emulating me, I guess), and purchased this bow due to the reviews and price until I could re-hair my other bow. I am very impressed by the quality of this bow and its ability to function well, both in string crossings and its expressive ability. It is a little on the light and flexible side, and I was originally not expecting a great deal from it, but would rate it much better than most student bows I have used, and like the nuanced sound it produces a little better that an entry-level carbon fiber bow I have tried. I am impressed with cherry wood as a bow alternative, and with the quality of the bow as well.

Not just the bow.

I have purchased some of these "student bows" and have found them to be a good value and the beginning violinist or the casual player doesn't have to settle for a plastic stick. So, I gave them 4 stars just because they are a entry level bow.
Now, for the rest of my review. I did buy a few more incidental things I have either lost or misplaced and the order did not amount to a whole lot of money but everything I have bought from StewMac has always been quality stuff.
I know I can count on them to deliver the goods and if you ever do have a problem, you can count on them to step up and do whatever it takes to make it right, whatever it takes.

I purchased 3 of these for a couple of student set-up. My husband noticed an improvement on my Violin I've been playing 1 1/2. I've decided to keep one of these for myself. Great Bow

I have purchased a lot of these cherrywood bows, and I have never had a problem with one. In my opinion, they are better than many student bows costing much more. I like them, and I recommend them highly.

Not bad

Actually as cheap bows go, this isn't half bad, it is better than anything in a store in the student $50 range.
