Gotoh Magnum Lock-Trad 3+3 Tuners

About This Item

Traditional thumbscrew-style locking functionality with Gotoh technology.

Pull the string taught through the tuner hole, and with a twist of the thumbwheel the string is locked into the post. Just a few turns of the tuner knob and you're up to pitch. Since there's just a partial wrap of string around the post, tuning stability is dramatically improved. Locking tuners are excellent for non-locking tremolo guitars, and for players that do heavy string-bending.

Rock Solid string posts eliminate looseness and reduce backlash for improved tuning stability. No more wobbly string posts to cause tuning problems.

The Lubri-Coat process electro-coats the gears with a special polymer layer. This eliminates the need for oil and keeps the lubrication where it’s needed, for the life of the tuner.

Great investment!

These were a great choice for my PRS 30th Anniversary Custom 24. Easy fit, one drill hole for the anchor screw on each. Definitely have noticed added stability. Only about an ounce heavier for the entire set. I have used Sperzels in the past on two guitars. I like these better. Seems more durable, higher gear ratio, etc.

Fantastic in beautiful gold

I don't do many reviews but I got these from StewMac for my PRS Akerfeldt guitar in an amazing looking gold. They have a low profile look out front and do a fantastic job of locking in your strings and staying in tune. There was a little drilling needed but well worth the overall look and quality.

MEGATAR

By

I built a MEGATAR from scratch - - - no kit. Bought all of the supplies, hardware, pickups, bridges, fret wire, pots, nobs, and tuning machines from STEWMAC. Also got fret calibration info from STEWMAC. After installing the tuning machines, I realized that 6 of the 12 were the wrong ones. I contacted STEWMAC and with no questions asked, they were swapped out and I rec'd the right ones in a few days. Don't know what my next project will be, but STEWMAC will be my source of supplies. Also got assorted info along the way from techs.

Locking tuners should come stock on every instrument

By

These are great - less hassle stringing, faster to tune, stay in tune better, more and more even down pressure on the nut. Traditional tuners are ancient technology, it's hard to imagine why they are still in use. It's a shame I had to order the ebony buttons from another place, StewMac should stock them for all tuners.
