Diago Twistlock Secure Strap Buttons

About This Item

One piece—no moving parts to rattle, wear out, or lose
The Diago Twistlock is a simple and effective alternative to traditional ball and plunger strap lock systems. A straightforward design that works with any guitar strap.

Secured with a simple twist
Attach the strap to your guitar and give it a twist to lock it on. Your guitar won't fall off by accident, and the strap only comes off when you want it to.

  • Easy to use—one handed twist action removes or installs the strap
  • Replaces your standard strap button with no modification to your guitar

Twistlock's low profile fits in your hardshell case, and it's still comfortable on guitars like the Gibson® SG or 335 where the strap button is mounted on the heel of the neck.

Dimensions:
15/16" x 3/8" (23.81mm x 9.53mm)

Each set includes 2 CNC-machined steel Twistlock strap buttons, 2 felt washers, and 4 stainless steel screws in 2 lengths: 1" (25.40mm) and 1-1/2" (38.10mm).

Set of 2.

I have been playing guitar for 52 years and these are the simplest and best strap buttons I have used.

Save a Fortune

I wish that i had heard of these when I started collecting guitars. I would not have spent $510.00 on three different kinds of locking guitar strap hangers. I would only have a couple of guitar straps now instead of one for each guitar. Oh well, lessons learned.

This is a very secure strap holder and it looks good too. one size fits all.

Treat Your Expensive Guitar Strap Right With This

By

Your $85 guitar strap deserves the smoothest slip-on strap button. Why torture your prize strap with other strap button currently on your guitar. Only one problem: if the wood screw has started to strip the wood, this button will not stay put like it should. So I had to switch to a machine screw, and purchase a flexible shaft to tighten a threaded nut from the inside of the body until the button stays put: open side downward. The Diago Twistlock Button may stylisticly enhance certain guitar models.

Great alternative to the smaller strap posts

By

I bought this for my new (to me) Hofner archtop and am very happy with it. The strap post was put on the back of the guitar, rather than on the neck joint. And the strap would slip off all the time, which was concerning because of possible damage to an expensive guitar. I replaced the post with one of these larger one and it has completely solved my problem, saving me from having to drill another hole in the guitar.

grrreat product!

This is just a genius solution! I am not a fan of straplock and similar. This one is simple yet verry effective and locks great!
Why just 4 stars? The buttons must be screwed verry tight to the instrument so it can not turn itself. Felt washers are delivered. Instead of them there should be silicon rubber washer to give maximum friction to the button. Then I would give 5 full stars!

Best strap locks, yet.

I recently bought a Flying V. The first time I played it on stage, the back end of the strap fell off two or three times, even though the Gibson strap buttons are wider than most. Too wide for the black twist on locks. These looked like the best alternative for that guitar, and they are. Quick and easy to put the strap on and off, and the strap doesn't fall off no matter what I do on the stage or dance floor. I've bought three more sets for guitars I'm building.

Quick shipping, great product. These are a great non-clunky/huge alternative to strap locks. Should do the trick for my Les Paul.

Getting them tight...!

By

Verified Buyer

The idea is great and they do a great job. However the challenge is getting them tight to stay in the proper location (the notch facing the floor). The first problem is holding the button so it doesn't turn while tightening. The second problem is getting the buttons to stay in the proper location. And the cure was simple. The old buttons used a rubber washer rather than a felt one. After fighting with two sets I used the old rubber washers. I'm willing to bet that I am not the only one to have this problem. If they fix this one I would give it 5 stars.
