Control Plate for Tele

About This Item

Steel control plates for Telecaster® guitars. Mounting screws included.

A better match on vintage guitars: the Relic Chrome plating has an aged look, perfect for repairing old guitars, when shiny hardware looks out of place.

Plate dimensions: 6-3/8" x 1-1/4" (161.92mm x 31.75mm)
Mounting holes are on 5-27/32" (148.34mm) centers.

Fender Squire Tele

By
(Customer's Reviews)

I replaced the pickups and controls on my squire tele. I put Emerson prewired pots in it. However the control spacing on the Squire is closer together than on American Tele's. Also Mexican I believe. This plate fit perfectly. I'm happy.

Work pretty well

I put these on my Charvel's volume knob because I was always hitting it , in a lead mainly. They look cool too. There a little hard to turn on the fly, but I got used to it pretty quick. My Charvel's on full throttle most of the time anyway.

not for 4way switch

By
(Customer's Reviews)

bought the plate a good while ago, so it might be different with newer batches
originally i had a 3way switch installed, but switched to a 4way lately
with those the slit for the lever aint long enough, so it got "stuck" between pos 3+4
nothing a file cant solve but might be worth revisiting

apart from that top notch

Good fit

Installed in 1996 MIK Tele. Fit within half a hair of perfect. In other words, it fit just fine. The plate is on the thin side but looks good. Well packed from SMac!

Tele Style Control Plate

I was a little disappointed with this as it was about half the thickness of my original plate and flimsy.

Will use this plate again! Nice hardware!

Too thin plate not matching bridge

By
(Customer's Reviews)

The plate is too thin, half as much as the Gotoh Modern Bridge is. It makes a bit of discrepancy between the two of then. Bought this one since it was the only option.
