About bridge & tailpiece measurements

Bridge and Tailpiece reference image

String spread is the distance between the centers of the outer strings on a bridge or tailpiece.

Saddle radius determines the arc formed by all the individual saddle heights, and is similar to the measurement of a fretboard.

Stud/post spacing is the distance between the centers of the mounting posts of a bridge or 'stop' tailpiece.

Gotoh Tune-o-matic bridge

If you need to upgrade a bridge on a Far East made guitar this is the one you want. Better than the stock bridges on most of these guitars. Metric studs and threads for a nice drop in replacement. Excellent price point too.

Say what!!..???

Okay first the back stop And Now this!!!
I know things are not going to fit perfectly well, but this is another minor thing that is like "WHY"!!!!?
I'm happy don't get me wrong it is also solid but the diameter of the holes are not spread out or not large enough to fit. Or its my guitar...? But it's minor I will just make the holes just a tincey wincey bigger and hopefully it will make me happier.

Gotoh Les Paul bridge

The stock bridge had run out of room for intonation (a common problem). The Gotoh bridge: a) was a drop in (but use the screw in posts furnished with it; b) solved the intonation problem because the bridge is wider than stock; and c) improved the tone of the guitar. All these improvements came at a very reasonable price.

Was very easy to install, was easy to get the correct intonation, looks great and feels solid. Simple upgrade at a great value. Put this on your Epiphone.

What intonation issues?

Dropped this bridge into my 2014 Epiphone LP PTP. Instantly took care of my intonation issues. It also helped my strings to ring out more! This, coupled with a Graphtech nut, yeah, major, yet cheap upgrade!

Side note, I will no longer be top wrapping my strings, so don't judge me! ;)

Purchased for bushings only

I needed some bushings for my floating bridge on my Jackson, and these fit just great. I would have liked black hardware color but that's not a big thing as I used my Jackson black hardware (studs and bridge) with the bushings.

Best upgrade for Epiphone Les Paul Guitars

By
(Customer's Reviews)

It's a drop-in replacement for the bridges (the ones with the wire...ugh!) on Epiphone LP guitars. No drilling or anything needed. Make sure you get the nickel ones, as chrome has a bluish tinge to it, whereas nickel is what is on the Epiphone. The saddles do not buzz, and the grooves on the saddles are deep enough for 8 and 9 gauge strings and the strings don't pop out. Price on Stew-Mac is reasonable for such a great bridge. I replaced all the bridges on my guitars with this one.
