Best non trem option and easy to install!

Love these bridges! I originally started using Schaller Hannes bridges but due to the extreme pain in the butt to install those things I decided to try one of these out and I actually love it! I thought they looked kinda cheap in the photos but in person they're very high quality. Not a single complaint with these! Definitely recommend!!!

Saddle Screws Too Short

I installed this Hipshot bridge on my 71 Tele Deluxe. Once installed I found out the height screws on the saddles were not long enough and could not adjust proper action. Bummer.

The best hardtail!

Very good quality bridge. Even comes with allen key and a sheet of cardboard to protect the base plate. Just remember, the mounting screws go 22.5mm past scale length (there is a slight error on the fret calculator).

I ordered the gold one...and it came with plain steel (mounting) screws that protrude higher than the plate that the saddles slide on. What a pain in the ....

I like this kind of bridges ,their simplicity and design is why I purchased one.BUT the paint on black ones is not conductive,so I had to work on that to establish a proper grounding....but that wasn't much of a problem.

Placement for Intonation

By
(Customer's Reviews)

First, I love the bridge. It looks great and has great tone. The only issue I encountered is placement. The specs say the mounting holes should be 26.125 inches from the bridge side of the nut for a 22 fret 25.5 scale. For my custom build (22 fret 25.5 scale), the mounting holes were made 26.158 inches from the bridge side of the nut, but that was still too close. I replaced the saddles with Graph Tech Ghost piezo saddles, which are the same length as the stock saddles, but to get the guitar to intonate properly, the saddles are pulled all the way to the back of the bridge, with no further adjustment possible. It intonated properly and tunes and plays great, but it still bugs me. For those that are replacing a bridge on an already constructed guitar, you'll have to go with the existing string through holes. For custom builds, you may want to plan on the mounting holes being 26.4" from the bridge side of the nut and plan your string through holes for that location. It's my own fault at then end of the day. When doing my own calcs on placement, I originally determined 26.4 inches, but with this being my first build I decided to go with the 26.125 calcs as I thought maybe they knew something I didn't. I'll be going by my own calcs from now on.

Amazing bridge, through and through. Just one problem, though...

By

The bridge in itself was amazing value for the money, with extremely well crafted saddles and base, made of splendid metal. Weighed quite a bit for its size, which makes for amazing sustain. BUT...for some reason, the bridge came without an Allen key to adjust the height of the saddles, which made fine adjustment a nightmare. And that's all that kept me from giving it five stars!

Very high quality. Space is narrower than Fender bridge, perfect.
