i love these bridges... great upgrade for the "3 saddle" style bridges... unless your tele has 6 individual solid saddles , i strongly suggest installing one of theese...strong, sturdy and solid. also adds sustain.. feels great too... i have them on all three of my teles...worth the money

The best true direct replacement for a vintage tele bridge

By

First of all, I do prefer a steel "ashtray" vintage style tele bridge for tone and "spank". But sometime you need a more modern solution. In this case I needed to set up the axe with 13s (wound G) and intonation was going to be critical. I already built the axe with a nickel vintage bridge. My customer has a body chemistry that goes right thru nickel on a matter on months. So he gets gold hardware on everything I do for him. Killed 2 birds with one stone on this one... EVERYTHING lined up perfectly and Gotoh is still building high quality parts for a good price. Been using Gotoh since 1988 and have never been disappointed. Stew Mac service is also SECOND TO NONE!

Incredible difference

I had no idea how much better my Telecaster would sound with the ability to individually adjust each string's intonation. It sounded great before. Now it is much better.

Great Product!

I easily attained a nice low action and perfect intonation with this.. It was my first guitar build so this was my biggest fear having a great looking guitar that played like crap, but I nailed it.

Perfect

Used this to replace the stocker on my Nashville Tele. Excellent quality and a vast improvement in terms of accurate string spacing. No more falling off with the high E string. I'm happy. Stew Mac was quick as usual. Thanks!

Great value. Great modification...

Installed this on a Suhr 2014 model T2 Pro. To my ears, rounds out the tone in a even, warm way over steel vintage thickness (.045in~.050in) bridges.

Very well made, lays exactly flat on the body. I love the vintage style bridges too, and the sound that goes with those.

But, if you have an exceptionally bright guitar like swamp ash body w/maple neck, and want to attenuate some of that brightness while also adding some extra depth and sustain, this may be worth considering versus pick-up changes.

Of course, with all personal mods, not for everyone. However, the cost is low enough, and installation easy enough to try without much loss if it doesn't work for you.

So worth the money

Been putting off a new bridge for my MIM Nashville Tele.
Took me literally 30 to 40 minutes to swap out this bridge for the old one. Couldn't be happier( so far). Easy swap out, easy to set intonation ( and I' m one of those intonation freaks you hear about). Solid and nice looking, shipment from StewMac was spot on time. Very pleased. And will update as I start using it at shows to test durability etc.

Excellent Quality Drop-In Replacement

By

Replaced the hammer-style bridge on a Nashville Telecaster. Instantly noticeable improvements in sustain, resonance, and feel. It also has an obvious affect on tone; it will require some time to re-adjust your amp settings. I noticed a slight attenuation of high end frequencies (in a good, warm way) and an overall darkened sound that is a welcome upgrade from the brash, edgy sound I now realize the stock bridge was putting out. Easy install, quality product; if you're thinking about it, get it.

Chrome Tele Bridge

I wanted to be able to intonate each string since the original Tele bridge did not allow this. The quality of the Gotoh bridge replacement produced an immediate sound improvement over the underperforming original in my Tele and I am very happier with the improved intonation. Often when one replaces items the difference can be subtle or difficult to notice. The improvement with the Gotoh was immediately noticable upon playing after installing and setting up the Gotoh bridge.
