A 1960s style Tune-o-matic bridge for the vintage look, with adjustable intonation screws held by a retainer wire.

The brass saddles are supplied without notches, for custom string spacing in your shop. Knurled height adjustment thumbwheels and threaded mounting posts are included.

String spread is the distance between the centers of the outer strings on a bridge or tailpiece.

Saddle radius determines the arc formed by all the individual saddle heights, and is similar to the measurement of a fretboard.

Stud/post spacing is the distance between the centers of the mounting posts of a bridge or 'stop' tailpiece.

Tip: Slotting Tune-o-matic style saddles
Nut slotting files work great for metal saddles. Choose your file size as you would when slotting a nut: use the same gauge as the string, or a few thousandths larger. After filing to the desired depth, we suggest polishing the slot with Mitchell's Abrasive Cord to remove file marks and burrs.

Conversion from Nashville

I have two Gibson Les Paul, 1996 and 2013, originally equipped with Nashville TOM bridge. I decided to change to vintage like ABR-1 for them, and this ABR-1 is just fitting so good because hole diameter is a bit larger than others. But negative point is that made in Japan.

No buzz

Great bridge. When I first installed it, the buzzing was very pronounced. I then took a flathead and pressed down on the retainer wire; this jams the screws and eliminates all buzzing.

Ringing Buzz

Bought one of these bridges for a '59 Les Paul project trying to recreate the nice solid transfer of string vibration that my 50th anniversary has. BIG MISTAKE! This bridge produces a harsh, ringing buzz/rattle that I could attribute to the sloppy fit of the saddles/screws where they fit in the bridge. Replaced this one with the Gotoh bridge and no ringing buzz or rattling.

I used this bridge to replace the original on a Brazos ES-336. The old bridge had sagged in the middle. I did have to create grooves for all the strings, but it fits perfectly, and the guitar is set up better now, and also plays much better as well.

I installed this bridge on a LP replica and was very pleased with the result. I especially liked the fact that the saddles aren't notched. I was able to cut the notches to achieve perfect spacing for the fingerboard and pickups.

Keep buzzin'

The saddles have very raw surface, not so clean as i expected. 4 of them are with higher tolerances, they buzzing and rattling all the time. It's a cheap japanese replacement for an cheap japanese gitar, not reccommended for any guitar in professional use. I have tried the gotoh version too, but it has the same illnes.
