Extra buttons for your Grover Quick-release Strap Lock.Sets of 2.
Very poorly designed and made. Grover should know that most of the OEM strap buttons our there use a no. 8 wood screw to hold them on. Grover supplies a no. 6 screw. To use them to replace an OEM button, you have to fill the hole, re-drill to a smaller size, or drill out the button so it can accept a no.8 screw. Very frustrating.
If you're not wanting each guitar in your collection to have a different strap, just buy these.
What the title says - identical to Schaller, fair price.
These buttons work well with the Schaller locking system. They also work great without the straplocks if you use a good quality leather strap or a strap with leather ends. The screws fit perfectly into the existing holes of Fenders, Squiers, etc. If the screws are difficult to install, then enlarge the hole slightly, but not too much. Test for the correct drill bit size on a scrap of wood and use wax on the threads. Using too much force could result in a broken screw. Then you'll need the Stew-Mac Guitar Screw Rescue Kit!
Grover never fails to amaze me. Don't hesitate on these!
Put these on a Fender 5 string Jazz Bass I have...you cray cray if you don't have em on yo slabs... I do!
Worked fine and fit Schaller strap locks. It was nice to be able to buy just the buttons rather than having to buy full strap locks when I didn't need them. Now I can use the same strap with locks on different guitars
I use this style strap button on everyone of my guitars. They work great with the Fender and Schaller strap locks. I put them on my latest barn-caster build and they dont disappoint!
Have used this type of locks for many years with never a failure!
Although the strap lock system is excellent, the weak link is the screws. I would prefer stainless steel screws. I have had the included screws break and damage a guitar.
