Bridge for my old 1920's Slingerland 5 string

Good bridge...very slight backward slant which is correct for nice true transfer of vibration...sounds good and full bodied. Made the banjo sound noticeably better. That was the only change on the banjo and it improved the tone.

Very happy!

I recently purchased a custom handmade 1800s tack head banjo with 3 bridges...all were too high! I purchased these short height bridges from Stew-Mac and found them to be of excellent quality and perfect for my new period banjo!

By

Verified Buyer

These bridges are great! I hae used all the big name 40 dollars bridges for years but not anymore these are all you need they sound great you can order 15 of these for the price of one of the other boutique bridges. These Stew Mac bridges are awesome and my choice from now on.

Everything was just the right size for my particular banjo. I can't see why anyone would pay more!

What's the difference?

By

Verified Buyer

I still can't tell much difference between a $ 4 bridge and a $ 40 bridge other than the price. Both are maple topped with ebony, I will save my money for things there actually is a difference in, thanks!
