The bridge fit perfectly on my archtop guitar and allowed the proper adjustment on string height.

I bought it to replace the stock rosewood bridge on an Epiphone Joe Pass archtop. Perfect match up & sweet tone. More definition than a tune-o-matic Couldn't be happier.

Restored a 1953 Kay changing from the old wood saddle and bridge to the bone was amazing.
Much brighter punchy sound.

Vast tonal improvement

My 1990 Knight (London, UK) handmade archtop came from a US dealer with a pretty but poorly made rosewood bridge. The tone lacked clarity and the action was uneven. I finally got around to replacing it with this bridge and the difference is stunning! This guitar sounds as it is supposed to:
articulate and full. The bridge is very well made and looks great. The curve matches the fretboard radius exactly. It was very simple to replace the stock chrome adjusters and posts with gold ones from Stew-Mac, an inexpensive upgrade when looks are important. The Stew-Mac archtop bridge fitting jig is a must to ensure a perfect fit. Fitting the bridge was as easy as the Dan Erlewine video claims. I am totally sold on the bone saddle as well. Highly recommended.

amazing transformation

I have a '59 Harmony Monterey that was soft and timid of tone. Since the installation of this bridge it has such bell-like clarity and sustain that It has become my favorite guitar. I was able to get the strings so close to the neck that the action is now slinky and feather light.

Used this as a replacement bridge for a 1940's Kay Archtop. Worked beautifully, only having to file down the bottom of the saddle to lower the action. Thanks, Stewmac!

Purchased to finish off a rebuild of a vintage archtop guitar from the ground up. Body, Neck, Tuners, etc. Although this is a little more than a adjustable bridge on archtops of the 50's and 60's, it does the job and gives the clearance required.
