Pickguard material

By

The purpose for which this product was purchased, was to replace a missing neck heel cap. While the product is what the information says it is, I would have been happier had the material been thicker and stiffer. Free-handing a cut was difficult to get a smooth clean line, perhaps I just chose the wrong type of material.

Perfect for ukulele!

By
(Customer's Reviews)

I wanted to put a pick guard on my tenor ukulele to protect the top from my fingernails when I'm doing those fast double, triple, fan and split strokes. And I wanted it to look a bit like my ukulele hero James Hill's ukulele. This pick guard material works great - it's thick enough to protect, but thin enough to not affect the sound.
It was easy to cut with scissors and x-acto knife.

As long as you know how to properly cut and shape it's without messing up the adhesive it works great. I've cut a ton of pickguards and have had little issues.

Acoustic Pickguard Blanks Work GREAT!!

By

I use the tortoise and black PVC pickguard material to make pickguards for small travel guitars and they do a great job. For a more expensive guitar I might use another StewMac product, but for my price point these are fine and my customers like them. I use the StewMac 45 degree bevel router bit to cut a nice chamfered edge and it finished up quite nicely with a bit of wet or dry sandpaper. Very happy with this item-peel and stick adhesive backing is very easy to use.

not good

The brown tortoise pickguard material would have made the worst looking tortoise I have ever seen on a guitar. My customer rejected it immediately when he saw it, and rightly so. Now it just sits around in my shop as a desk mat.

Customers and I don't like this as well as what you used to sell.
