Put it on an old LGO I've been working on. It really stuck down fast.

Takes some shapin to fit martin

By
(Customer's Reviews)

This might be obvious, it is not a drop in replacement for a martin guitar. It's a little oversized. Next time I will buy just a blink of black PG material and make a custom one.

The amount of shaping it needs ruins the adhesive on the back and I had to put new adhesive on.

Tortoise pickguard

By
(Customer's Reviews)

The pickguard is the closest match in size and shape for a 1968 D 12-20 that was missing the pickguard. I'm pretty sure that black is more appropriate to the era and date, but I think the black pickguards were the ugliest innovation Martin ever made, so tortoise it is!

Clear Guard: poor quality cutting

By
(Customer's Reviews)

The clear guards have an issue along the edge that causes the adhesive to not adher, leaving an unsightly appearance along the edge. I've tried several of these over an extended period and the issue is always in the same spot along the edge.
After recutting with a good pair of scissors the edge will lay down beautifully, but that defeats the whole point of buying a precut guard. The only advantage to these over the uncut clear sheets is the thickness. The uncut sheets are too thin.

Great for D-28

By

I replaced the original curled black pickguard on my 1970 D-28 and this installed easily with very minor shaving around the sound hole area of the pickguard for an excellent fit.

So glad I purchased these pick guards!

By

I was amazed at how easy these were to put on my three acoustic guitars. Each required a little trimming and shaping, as well as prep work on the instruments, but installation was simple and looks great! Thanks too for the video help at your website!

Out of all of the pick guards in the world, this has got to be the one that God has on his guitar.
