Exactly What I Expected

Excellent product as always from this company. With a little sanding for the radius, the fit was perfect.

Too bad I have to buy these

These bridges are high quality and work great. Too bad I have to shell out more cash for the Ebony bridge and fingerboard when buying the dreadnaught guitar kit.

Check your saddle width.

By Mike Tonn from Orient Ohio
(Customer's Reviews) Monday, October 14, 2013

Some Martin guys (me included) will run into small issues as our original saddle is too large and won't cross over. Intonation comes into play here as the smaller saddle limits your ability to adjust, I know it's a small amount but every bit counts on an acoustic. Re slotting the bridge was difficult at best as the ebony is hard as concrete. If they offered both saddle widths it would be nice.

Ebony bridge

I have used several of these for a variety of builds. They always have a nice tight grain and are uniform in color. If you want it jet black you can use the black dye that you use when dying a fretboard. Then spray a couple coats of satin lacquer and it is perfect.

Great bridge

I purchased an oversized rosewood bridge to replace the cracked one on my old Washburn and to tell the truth, this one is a lot better than the original. Fits perfectly. Even the sound is better when I plug it !!! (Piezo pickup under the bridge).
Great replacement part.

Ebony bridge

By BertB from NJ
(Customer's Reviews) Thursday, February 21, 2013

I purchased an ebony bridge for a Martin acoustic jumbo guitar kit that I am building. The bridge looks a lot nicer than the black composite that comes with the kit, and looks like it matches the kit bridge in critical dimensions.

Very Nice Quality

By Schembre from Anaheim Hills, CA
(Customer's Reviews) Saturday, January 19, 2013

I bought the oversized RW ebony bridge to replace a lefty Martin HD-28 bridge. The slightly oversize is hardly noticeable, but covers the old footprint superbly. In addition, the grain on the Stew Mac replacement looked better than the original Martin.

More Choices Would Be Better

These are fine bridges but adding a 2 1/4" string spacing version would be ideal for OM style guitars. Many modern flattops use this slightly wider string spacing.
