Tall taper 3/8" to 7/16" (9.53mm to 11.11mm)

For use at the bridge position on instruments with a Gibson® bridge, and are too tall for Fender bridges.

Each mounting ring has a flat (non-arched) bottom, and must be trimmed or sanded to match an arched guitar top.

Color-matching Cream Parts and Bindings
There have always been slight variations in the color of the cream plastic parts used on Gibson and other guitars. It's not uncommon to see brand new and vintage guitars with bindings, pickup rings, toggle switch rings and pickguards that don't perfectly match in color. We do our best to match all our cream products, but there's no absolute control from batch to batch, or from supplier to supplier.

What do you expect for this price.

Does what you need it to do. I broke one; nothing like a little super glue to make it look like new.

these mounting rings do the job very well and here is a picture...

I just regret that stewmac has discontinued the wooden rings...

Not a lot to say.

I bought a short black ring for a guitar I built. It's not a bad ring, just a few things to keep in mind. 1. This is for flat top guitars, there is no arch for archtop guitars. 2. It does not come with mounting screws to hold it to the body, you have to buy those separately.

Not for arch tops - apparently

These were not sculpted for archtops at ALL - They're straight plastic on the bottom. In short - I couldn't use them for a Les paul at all. weak.

Not quite right

I found two issues with these pickup surrounds:
1) The cream color does not match the Les Paul pickguard I bought from StewMac. These are almost pink in comparison.
2) The base is flat, which means it doesn't fit nicely on a properly carved Les Paul top. A major reason for replacing the flat base originals was because they had cracked due to being bent over the carved top.

I can create a curve myself to match the carving, but the color is still 'wrong'.

Nice rings with a little modification

I bought the black low and high rings for a 74' Ventura (Les Paul copy). The angle was not right on the tall ring and I had to sand down one side of the bottom a bit to make it level with the strings. Also, those PUP routings in the Ventura were a little too large. Just enough room to sneak the mounting screws in.

They did the trick!

Can't go wrong for the price.

I used these on a 1974 Les Paul that was in terrible condition. After all the hard work, These new pickup rings were the cherry on top to make this guitar look great.

Perfect fit

I bought the low cream rings for my Carvin CS6 to put a set of Duncans in, and they are working perfectly. Very high quality, good looking rings If anyone is changing pups in a Carvin, then you already know that Carvin uses 3 adjusting screws in the ring. You should also know that the Carvin screws have beveled heads and are slightly larger in diameter that "normal". So make sure to order new adjusting screws as well. Thank you StewMac for making all my repairs and mods much easier!
