Strap Stoppers - 4 Pack

About This Item

The simplest, easiest strap lock. Nothing to install.
These stretchy rubber discs keep any strap from slipping off. They're like the cap gaskets found on Grolsch beer bottles, but ideally sized for strap buttons.

Put your strap on, then add a Stopper over each button. Your strap stays put!

"I prefer to keep my guitars original, even changing the strap button bugs me. Strap Stoppers are a reliable way to secure the guitar, keep everything original, and not scratch the finish in the process."
—Erick Coleman, guitar repairman and StewMac tech advisor

Available in black or Grolsch-style red.
Outer diameter: 1" (25.4mm)
Inner diameter: 0.300" (7.62mm)
Thickness: 0.090" (2.29mm)

Package of 4 Strap Stoppers for securing 2 guitars.

Seems to work fine

I purchased several of these because I don't like to change things on my older guitars and the straps would come loose periodically. These are not as tight as the Fender version (so are easier to install) but seem to be holding well after several weeks of use.

These strap locks are great! They're not expensive, easy to install...virtually in seconds, and they work!! I had the typical mechanical strap locks on my Tele and the (almost pointy) button was always poking my leg when sitting...annoying. I went back to the original strap buttons, installed these washer style stoppers and voila!..instant comfort and my strap has never come loose. My friend was always dropping his vintage Gibson J45 because the strap would pop off. I gave him two of these and he's a happy yodeler.

No need to hack up your guitar with glue and matchsticks -- strap stoppers rock!

These work great, pretty quick on and off, and another cool thing is that you can store it on the button. So if you're just playing at home and want to put your strap on quickly, you can put the strap on over top of it. Love them.

Perfect Strap Lock without any work

I play Les Pauls and I always have a trust issue with the front strap button coming loose. I have used some strap locks but hated unscrewing the pins and installing new parts. I also have about 6 les pauls that go on the road with me and I didn't want to spend $30 per guitar on strap locks.

I found these and tried them out. They work great! They just slip over your existing strap button, no unscrewing, very unnoticeable, and very affordable.

I have a strap I really like, but the leather is very soft, and it sometimes slips off of the strap buttons. These solved the problem; my strap is now secure.

Fender, Gibson, Gretsch, Epiphone, Martin 'n' Taylor guitars ... Works fine on neck buttons, but not on plug in buttons for acoustic-electric guitars .. Need a larger size !!!

I decided to try these just for the fun of it, expecting them to fail but so far I've been amazed. The strap stoppers do exactly what they are suppose to do and appear to be very durable. Give them a try!

too flimsy - gotta glue them together to get solid performance.

I've owned similar before (manufactured by a major brand), and I'm sorry to say that these from StuMac are far thinner and much more flimsy than the brand-name ones I've owned previously. The StuMac version should easily have been made double the thickness to keep them from folding over and looking like I have a funnel attached to my end-pin, let alone potentially failing at their task... No, I certainly don't expect these to "lock" the strap by any means, but these simply should be thicker and more rigid. I'm not going to give up though... my next step is to use rubber cement and glue several layers of these together to provide the desired rigidness that I am comparing them to... so go ahead and try them yourself but I do wish they were thicker. Cheers!
