Diamond Fret Levelers

Industrial diamond-coated steel blocks. Excellent for putting a razor edge on chisels and knives, we discovered they're also great for leveling frets!

These diamond-coated steel blocks are manufactured as tool sharpeners. Available in three models, the cutting surfaces are a bit finer than our other diamond-coated fretting tools. They always remain flat, and won't break, chip or crack.

Each leveler is 6" x 2" x 1/4" (152.40mm x 50.80mm x 6.35mm).

Works on stainless frets, too!
All of our tools are suitable for use on stainless-steel fretwire, with the exception of our Fret Tang Nippers and Fret Cutters. Modern stainless-steel fretwire is known to be harder than the traditional nickel-silver blends, but our own shop experience indicates the wire does not cause premature wear of files or sandpapers.

Trade Secrets!

Sharpen your chisels so they cut like razors

Dan Erlewine shows how to sharpen, hone and strop an edge onto any chisel, creating a super-sharp cutter.

Excellent to say the least!

Have the 800 grit. Used it to shave of fret sprout, filing of edges on plastic details, and even sharpening broken chisels. All with excellent result. Why didn't I get one years ago?

Lifesaver!

....or should I say fret-saver?

Bought an old '74 SG with the worst possible fret job. Luckily it was fretted with jumbos, so with enough metal to work with, this guitar is now in excellent working condition!

Perfect results

I ordered both the 325 and 1800 for leveling and tool sharpening. They are flat and a good length for spot leveling or for leveling all the frets. You would find it hard to beat these for a really accurate fret job.

They Never Wear Out!

By
(Customer's Reviews)

i use it to bevel the frets and it's unbelievable how they do not wear out even after so much grinding back and forth on the sharpy fret ends.

i also like to level uneven frets just by dragging it over back and forth, with NO pressure but its own weight (800-grit). this way keeps the frets to flatten out too much, so they'd need a very light crowning job, then.

Diamond Fret Levelers

I thought they would be double sided like all the other's I've seen. Can't assume anything I guess. Seem Like they'll work good though.

Very useful

By
(Customer's Reviews)

I found the diamond fret leveler (Fine) very useful for finishing and polishing fret ends, as well as smoothing out the string marks from the tops of the frets. It becomes more difficult to use as you move up the fretboard - perhaps a narrower version would be more useful. However, a very useful tool - for lots of things.

Diamond fractions serve for 1-2 guitars. After this, diamond fret levelers is going to trash...

perfect for cleaning up frets after filing them for a fret level

It's hard to use unless you make a handle for it. But once I did, and after a few fret level jobs, it made cleaning up the frets easier. I love it

Exactly what I looked for

By

I bought the set of 3 sharpeners. I use them to sharpen my tools and they are the best sharpeners you can find: they remain flat and are very durable. If you want to use them for sharpening buy the set of 3, if you want to use them for fret leveling it's sufficient that you buy the coarse one.
