Made my strap hung radio receiver back into a guitar again.

The down side is I can't use it to test fluorescent bulbs anymore.??

Worked Like A Charm!

Shielded up my Stratocaster with the large kit because I figured it was better to have more than not enough. She's quiet as a mouse now. Follow the instructions & you'll be golden.

Nice Kit

This was my first stab at shielding one of my basses - Fender Jazz in this case. There was plenty of material to complete the job. Directions were good but I'd recommend reading them and thinking about what you are trying to do before starting. I altered the directions to fit my needs and reduced my workload and risk a bit. You will need some soldering skills and equipment to do this correctly. Results have been good. Didn't have any real hum problems before, but was replacing pickups anyway so I said what the heck.

Great product, exactly as described

I purchased the small kit, as it looked like it would be enough to cover my whole guitar despite what the description said. With careful enough planning, it worked out perfectly, and all cavities were conductive without any modifications.

The kit came exactly as described, and worked just as advertised.

There is one con to the kit, but it won't affect the 5-star rating: The instructions leave a lot to be desired, and if you're using this kit to learn I would highly recommend utilizing additional online resources for tips and ticks on installing copper shielding. It seems as though my specific situation (I know anecdotal), was properly covered, but I was able to fill in the "gaps" as it were, myself.

Great product, high quality pieces, everything as advertised. Would highly recommend to anyone, and will purchase again for future projects.

Again, not enough copper

By

The ad said "Enough to do a Strat or Tele." I have a 1988 Japanese Strat with the 3 pickup rout holes. I didn't do the entire pickguard, used every sliver of tape, and still didn't have enough to do the pickups, or rear pickup cavity completely. There's no way it would have been even close to enough to do the jack plate rout too. I had to buy an extra roll of copper tape to complete the job. Maybe I should have bought the large kit but, the ad said it wasn't necessary for my year Strat. If I would have known I needed to buy more tape I would have just got a roll of that to start with and been done with it. I already had everything else I needed.

I put this in my Strat to combat the high-pitched buzzing noise caused by the dimmer switch, ceiling fan, and CRT in my music room. It works like a champ!!!

If you are shielding a Fender Jazz Bass, this kit will give you more than enough material to shield all the cavities. Good luck!

I used this kit to shield the control cavity on a Warmoth body. The kit provided just enough material to do the job. Delivery was fast as always, and the instructions were thoughtful and complete.

Self adhesive Shielding Kit is everything I needed for my Strat build

I recently built a relic'd Strat style guitar and used this kit to shield it. It worked as advertised, with continuity through the self-adhesive joints, it wasn't necessary to solder across the joints. This was a great time saver and worked great.
