Conductive Copper Tape

About This Item

Get rid of buzz and interference in your guitar.
Shield pickups and control cavities with this self-adhesive copper tape.

180" rolls for shielding pickups and control cavities to reduce hum, noise and radio interference. The self-adhesive backing is also conductive, so overlapped seams are electrically continuous. Wrap this tape around pickup coils for additional shielding.

Sold individually or SAVE when you buy the set of all three widths.

Conductive Copper Tape surface accepts solder.

RF Protection

It worked very well, applying half it's width to the top edge of the body cavities and with it's conductive adhesive making good electrical contact with the brush on conductive paint. Using a DVM, I now have a perfect zero ohms connection to all a Strats body cavities. Even covering the underside of the pickguard plate, there was even some tape leftover (3/4" roll).

Great to work with, made Jazz bass silent.

Bought to shield an American special Jazz bass. Had the single coil hum. Tape is very easy to work with and the conductive adhesive works very well. My bass is now silent. Was able to do my Jazz and a friends Telecaster, with enough left over to do another guitar. (2 inch roll). Will buy again.

Conductive Copper Tape

A must for Les Paul guitars. Gibson Hasn't figured it out or just doesn't care that is a problem that they should address.

get under the pickup and copper it up!

when i saw how crummy a ground was under my new jag. bass, it was unbelievable. i had Stewart-Macdonald send me grounding paint and copper tape and went to work. man that stuff worked great. it took the hum right out of that jazz pickup in the back. next time you change strings ,look up under the pick guard and see what you are dealing with. you also get self satisfaction fixing it yourself. The adhesive on the back of tape is conductive. The cheap stuff at the hardware store is not. Awesome product.

Works like a charm. I lined my Strat wth it and now the only noise I hear are the notes I play.

I am putting together my first guitar and wanted to take special efforts to shield the internals. This tape worked perfectly, especially with the conductive adhesive.

Conductive both sides!

By

Verified Buyer

Yes, it's conductive both sides (I used my digital multimeter). and taping the sticky side of one piece to the non-sticky side of another piece shows perfect conductivity throughout, too! Excellent stuff!
